Why did you pick this product vs others?:This bucket came very well packaged, no damage at all. I got this for my Husband since I kept finding spots around the yard where he thought he was being sneaky and dumping old charcoal. It is a nice size and feels very sturdy. I am not going to leave it outside so it should las a long time. Plans are to keep it outside until all cools down then keep it in the shed until it is full then dump it in a trash bag for disposal.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this because I wanted a black bucket that fits to my fireplace and interior. The size is perfect and can hold a lot of ash. It’s got a matte black coating with a wooden handle and the shovel holder attached to the side. This is very convenient. The metal is relatively thin, the bucket therefore can get very hot if you put hot ashes in there but this is the case with any metal bucket. Do not place it on sensitive flooring when it’s hot. On the other hand it’s lightweight and easy to carry even when it’s full. Due to the coating you can easily wash off any ash residues and it doesn’t leave any stains.

Have not used it long but it seem very functional. Sturdy as any I have found and I like the ash scoop. Lid fits well, has a good capacity, and bottom is elevated off the hearth. Looks real nice by the woodstove too.

We are first time owners of a wood stove, and made a terrible mess trying to clean it out. This is a great addition to our equipment. I needed an outdoor trash receptacle for dog poop bags because I keep my large trash bins in the garage and don’t want to smell dog poop in the summer heat in my garage! This can works perfectly! Stylish and good quality. I don’t use the shovel that came with it.
