Snap Ruler - Silicone Bracelet Tape Measure Band - 12" / 30cm (Yellow)

This ruler is absolutely perfect for my purposes! As an avid crocheter, I frequently need a ruler to measure a project but when I'm done, it needs to be out of the way. This ruler when popped out is very firm, making it much more useful than a tape measure, and the dark black numbering and lines on the bright yellow make it exceptionally easy to read. When I'm done measuring, I unsnap it and let it coil around one of the straps of my craft bag which prevents it from ever getting lost or left behind, plus when not in use it is completely out of the way, not sticking way out of my tote or laying around on a table. I strongly recommend it to all crafters.

As a wildlife biologist who mentors children in animal tracking and nature exploration, I cant say enough good things about this product. Rulers are not always the most engaging tools for kids. It can be difficult to instill the concept of scientific rigor when your crouched over a fresh puma track and feel the awe of its magnificence. However, at some point, one must learn to how to correctly measure the print to bridge the gap between intuition and scientific proof. This tool does just that because it is inherently more charismatic than any other rigid ruler that I have seen. At first glance, an adult may overlook the functional value of it as a bracelet. However, as someone who has misplaced, lost or struggled to find a small plastic rulers left on the ground or placed in a pocket, the bracelet design allows it to always be close at hand (no pun intended).Pros:-Sturdy weight: This will stay exactly where you place it. There is no chance of it blowing down the beach or into a track that you're trying to photograph.-Washable material: the silicon and markings on the ruler can be washed with dish soap or rubbing alcohol. Very important characteristic when working in poison oak country or when it gets placed a little too close to a fresh pile of scat.-Brightly colored: The yellow style is particularly bright and would be difficult to lose in the field.-Mate finished: The silicon is not shiny or reflective, making it great for glare free photographs (even with a flash) in all conditions.-Extremely charismatic to kids: They're less likely to forget it at home and incredibly eager to use it when the opportunity arises-Hard to lose for adults. Can be stored on wrist or backpack straps without any concern of it falling off.-Highly consistent and accurate markings.Cons:-The convex surface of the ruler might make it a little less ideal for scaling photographs to life-size. However, a simple US coin is most commonly used for that purpose, so this is a moot point in my mind.

Perhaps its not fair to leave this review until I've contacted the company, but I will put this out there. The one star is for the PRODUCT. It's well made, but the picture with the item is misleading. I expected a bracelet that wrapped around the wrist with the measurement side out. Instead, the one I receive, when worn, shows the equivalents on the outside, and the measurement lines against my wrist. It looks like a big ugly rubber mess, to be honest. Just a reminder to ask questions even if you're "confident" about a product.

It was a little over priced in my opinion but I liked that it was easy to read and the included conversion. Easy way to have a foot ruler with you and still have hands free.

I knit and crochet a bit and this helps me a lot when I have to measure a piece- it’s always there when I need it. I no longer have to search for the measuring tape than I knocked off the table or one of the grandkids “borrowed” and forgot to bring back or lost.

Nice! Just what I was looking for. I was wondering how the accuracy would be, since the markings are printed on flexible silicone, but they are spot-on when compared to a non-flexible ruler.

I work in a quilt shop and I need to measure things everyday all day long. Perfect and I always have it with me.
