Taugua nuts are the seeds of the tagua palm tree. Tagua is equivalent to elephant ivory in color and density and is known as vegetable ivory. It is easily carved and has been used for centuries for buttons and figurines. The nuts are beautiful just as they are. The natural brown bark has been partially removed for an interesting effect.
