As they were working closely, they rekindled their love.The secondary characters Taylor Price and the detective who was investigating Tony's death, Brian Cooper were adorable. Loved how Taylor tried to fight the attraction between them but Brian was always in front of her.One of Lucas' ARES brothers, Hauk was still getting notes from his stalker. They were all wondering what the culprit wanted with Hauk. Lucas and Mia found themselves in danger when the culprit of Tony's death tried to kill them.KILL WITHOUT SHAME, the second installment in Alexandra Ivy's ARES SECURITY series was filled with twists and turns. It was phenomenal, intense, amazing and captivating. Mrs Ivy did an outstanding job. Two thumbs up and a heck yeah to grabbing yourselves a copy.

There seems to be several series that use this same premise about ex-military buddies setting up a security company. This is one of the better ones and this second book in the series was very entertaining even though I knew who was guilty as soon as they were mentioned but the how/why/when type stuff was a mystery and who else was involved was a bit of a surprise.Lucas and Mia were a better couple than many since there was already a history there you did not have to be convinced of some "insta-love" but a guy who knew he had screwed up years ago and wanted to try again. The fact that and old friend of them both was shot to death on his way to see Lucas clutching a picture of her just made it easier for him to step back into her life. Throw in a touch of "Sabrina" rich guy/poor girl daughter of an employee and it is hard to make it bad.The sex was not overdone, the "swooning" was a bit overdone (I am not a big fan of strong women who melt for these alpha heroes) a bit more of a fight would have been a bit more realistic I thought but not a showstopper.Bottom Line: Great story, kept me interested, couple was good with minor flaws, 4 Stars and great entertainment.

This was very lackluster. Maybe it is just me. I have now read three books in a row in which the hero basically bowls over the heroine with his alpha protectiveness. That is it. The hero did not have to try too much beyond that - I wanted more to the relationship. The solution to romantic suspense is also a little too easy. I am able to deduce the villain too early in the story. Alexandra Ivy writing is fluid, but this story us just a little too bland. I like the premise of this series and will continue, but I hope the next book will give us a little more -- of everything.

It's been a while since I read book 1 in this series and, HOO-BOY, I'd forgotten how DRIVEN these Ares men are when they get their teeth into something. Lucas might present of a facade of cold ruthlessness to most, but he burns hot when someone who matters to him is in danger.And Mia matters to him.A lot.Now, while I understood his reasons for leaving Mia in the first place, I can't say I entirely agree with his reasoning for staying away. Especially since it was clear there was a definite spark between them. And, you know, feeeeeelings. Not that Mia copped to those pesky feelings at first, but they were there. We all knew it.(As an aside, the romance between the secondary characters was ridiculously sweet. I was 100% Team Sexy, Rumpled Cop!)With a goodly dose of potential danger and an even bigger dose of simmering sexual tension, I enjoyed this one a lot. I love Alexandra's style of writing...and I adore her ARM'S SECURITY TEAM! Brothers by fire...Brothers by choice. Always there to watch each other's back. Theses stories are full of intrigue.... suspense...some scary shit too. And then there is the love between Mia and Lucas. Oh my ..what a full meal deal with this baby. Fifteen years have separated Lucas and Mia but neither has forgotten the other. Will Lucas and his team be able to keep Mia alive...or will she die? So so good...hated that it ended. But on the bright side....there are still team members that need to find their woman and their happily ever after! ☆☆☆☆☆+ Great book😉

But not as good as the first book with race.I do love the story lines though but how long to wait for the next one

A bit of action those sexy ARES men and we have a story to be read they save the woman and one falls in love one of the best way to write a story. ♥♥♥♥

KILL WITHOUT SHAME is book 2 of the ARES Security Series by Alexandra Ivy. This is a great continuation of this series. This series is about a group of men that were tortured in a Taliban prison, and instead of letting it destroy them, these men pooled their considerable skills and escaped. After, instead of going their separate ways, they once again pooled their skills and resources and created the security firm, ARES Security in Houston, Texas. This series is about Max, Lucas, Hauk, Teagan, and Rafe.Book 2 is about Lucas. He was born to money, but the time in the prison made him realize that there is more to life than money. And who he left at home is the only one that holds his heart.Mia Ramon took over her father's company and made it successful despite being left by Lucas 15yrs before. Mia tried to forget Lucas.But Lucas never forgot her. And when he hears that she is in danger, he drops everything to be there and to protect her. All he has to do is convince her that he still cares about her and still loves her!!!It's an engaging and interesting romantic suspense story. Definitely kept me up. The characters are well-developed and the romance between Mia and Lucas is sweet and tender! And while this is the 2nd book in the series, the other men don't play a big factor in this storyline. I am excited to read the rest of this series when it comes out!

Loved this book, as well as the first one (Kill without Mercy), but where's the rest of the series ? We met 5 interesting and compelling men in these books (who all have a same past harrowing experience), but I'm still waiting for the story of the other three. Author has gone on to other series so she has obviously dropped this one. I hate it when an author leaves us hanging this way.

Wow another hit for A Ivy! Look forward to the next book in the series. This series is about 5 men that return from being tortured in the Middle East and after escaping they set up a business called ARES. These are stories about how they meet the women in their lives and overcome obstacles to get their HEAs! Great read, would definitely recommend as I couldn't put it down until I was finished:)

enjoyed the story and looking forward to future episodes in the ARES story, but it has been a while.
