You dont need this
Rivet burrs can be set by using slip joint pliers. The doming part of the tool has rough machining Mark's that WILL TRANSFER to your rivet pien.Either buy a better tool or learn to use other methods to set your rivet (I suggest a better tool)

Don’t buy!
This thing is junk, I used it like it said to with the rivets it said to use. It is stuck and I can’t even move it. It’s a waste of money and time. Now I have to start my work over that took me days to do!

Needs modified
I bought this tool to set the Tandy rivets that I bought as well. The first rivet went kinda ok. The second one got stuck so bad I nearly had to trash the project I was working on the get the post freed from the tool. I ran a slightly larger drill bit into the hole and then that featureworked fine. The doming side of this tool is terribly machined. If leaving marks on you rivet doesn't matter, go for it. A little more money will definitely get you a better tool.

Great tool
This is a very solid and well constructed tool. It has a good weight to it that makes seating the washer much easier than it would be with a lighter punch. I have found that lightly sanding the post of the rivet with a fine grit sandpaper makes this process work better. Given that, this tool sets rivets quickly and easily.

It was worth a shot
I've used this to set about 30 copper rivets so far. The hole for the initial setting of the burr works well but once you shorten the rivet the poor milling of this tool is left imprinted on the rivet when you try to round it over. A ring is now starting to form from the initial diameter of the rivet and it leaves the finished product looking worse. I've also noticed that the striking surface is starting to mushroom. Like another reviewer said, this tool is way too soft.Bottom Line: I'm sure the rivets will hold but I'm too embarrassed to use on a piece that I am going to sell to a customer.

Great Rivet Setter
It took a second to figure out how hard I needed to hit the Copper Rivet & Brass Rivet Setter to seat the washer, but after the first rivet I had it figured out. It’s a great quality and easy to use tool.

Well made
Second one I’ve got. They defiantly have a life span this is the lowest price point I’ve seen and work well for about 700 rivits

Not the best tool for the job
Noticeable tool marks were left in the divot used to mushroom the shaft. It is even visible in the Amazon picture. These tool marks WILL transfer to the rivet head. It works, but now I need to buy another tool, the one I should have bought in the first place.
