I got this crib in vintage iron, which may not be everyone's taste, but it's classic and frankly just *grand*. It has a French Country style that is perfect for someone with a penchant for dramatic decor. It has beautiful detailing and ornate curves; much more sophisticated than what you usually see in children's furniture.Will likely last a lifetime. This crib is so sturdy and well-made (from steel) that it will not only see your child through many years, but it could easily be passed down through generations. This is an investment piece.Adjustable mattress positions to move with the height you need.Thoroughly tested for safety and toxic chemicals, lead and phthalate-safe and meets both US & International safety standards, which is always comforting when making purchases for a new baby.Cons:The price tag is hefty, but since this bed goes all the way up to a twin/full, the value seems correct for the priceYou have to purchase conversion kits, so while it is a minor cost compared to the rest of the bed, there is some cost and also some shopping involved in this purchase. I found the conversion kit to the toddler bed and it was about $100.in conclusion, I think the biggest detractor for most people in this item will be the price. It's understandable, but I do believe that you're getting the value from the product. The bed that can take your child from newborn age into their teen years and be passed down beyond is well worth the cost. I fell in love with it's stunning style, and I think it's worth the investment.
