I think these Masterbuilt Pure-Paraffin Wax Fire Starters are great quality and priced well for what you get. They save me the hassle of digging around for paper or kindling to burn under my steel charcoal lighter. Just one block is enough to get the charcoal going, and it works consistently every time. They burn clean, without a strong smell or mess, and they take a lot of the frustration out of starting a charcoal fire. Definitely a must-have if you don’t mind spending a couple of dollars to avoid the hassle of paper and lighter fluid. I’d recommend them!

These never-fail fire starters have become my favorite starters to use in my Big Green Egg grill. They catch fire immediately and work well. With a slow burn, they don't disappear before the large chunks of charcoal have caught fire.

I purchased these twice the first time they were not wrapped in plastic and were heavier (seemed more dense) and worked great even in high winds, the next purchase the box was much lighter, and the firestarters were wrapped in plastic, they seemed harder to light and I had a problem twice (decent winds those days) were they went out and I had to relight. Still worked great hence the 4 stars but since the quality went down I may try another brand now.

These fire starters work well and catch pretty easily, which makes getting a fire going much smoother. They burn clean and don’t have a strong odor, which is nice when you’re cooking. They don’t fully replace kindling though. What’s worked best for me is placing one of these at the bottom, adding kindling wood on top, then stacking the larger wood pieces or charcoal above that. Using them as part of a layered setup makes lighting more consistent and saves time.

These are simple to use and are effective. Cheap alternative to the torches!

Good Quality firestarter - easy to light, burns well.. Also burns pretty clean, not emitting any noxious odors or black smoke. Burns fairly quickly, so you may use a double - but definitely helpful for starting wood burning fires.

These things are awesome! They work well in my MB800 Gravity Smoker. The horizontal slot under the charcoal for lighting is fairly slim and these fit easily without having to stuff paper. You light a corner and they slowly take off for a controlled start. No odors, lights charcoal consistently unlike some starters that flash and burn out.

Not cheap but superior quality. I recommend it.

Used it today. Lit easy Forgot to take out baffles, but still lit charcoal. Better than others or homemade.
