First Big-Girl Bike gone Right.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Nice looking bike! My 7y/o daughter loves it (blue is her favorite color) and it's perfect for her height (4'5") to grow into. I was a little worried about the size, but it worked out well. TI do wish these entry level bikes came with the finger shifters vs. these twist shifters because the twist ones are hard for little hands to rotate and tend to get more difficult with age. For now, it's awesome and we couldn't be happier with her first big-girl bike.

Awesome bike for a good price
I love my LBS but this deal from Amazon was smokin'. $330 for an aluminum framed, seven speed, NO suspension with mechanical disc brakes. It's pretty light, but I expect in the years to come it may see some additional weight savings in crank and tire replacement. Overall it fit the needs for my daughter's tenth birthday. She's pretty small for her age but she was outgrowing her 20" bike. One of her issues with that bike was the rim brakes were hard for her to modulate with little hands. The mechanical disc brakes solved that. No suspension is my requirement because they weigh too much and my kid has no interest in riding trails that need suspension. It seems like a solid bike that she probably won't outgrow for at least a couple years, and has standard dimensions so we can upgrade it if she does get into more serious riding. It was fairly easy to assemble- actually I made her help me just for added dad torture. She loves it and continues to plow around the neighborhood. The colors aren't too ostentatious either, but I still worry about someone stealing it if she doesn't lock it up properly.

Great bike!
My son absolutely loves his new bike! It rides really smoothly. The colors are great and the components are really good for his age and cycling level. We were a little concerned about having a twist shifter since he'd had trouble with those on previous bikes. This twist shifter is really easy for him to turn. He's still learning about shifting gears, but it works great! It's definitely a more appropriate bike for him to use for mountain biking than his previous bike. Love it!

Easy to assemble, high quality disc brake components.
Very high quality relative to cheaper alternatives, love the disc brakes, easy assembly, rear brake did not require adjustment, front brake needed only some fine tuning, no adjustments needed for the gears. Box included long wrenches that are handy for future adjustments. Very pleased relative to previous purchases of cheaper kids’ bikes. I am glad to spend a bit extra for this level of quality and to avoid frustrations with cantankerous braking systems and poorly engineered parts.

Flat tire, warped brakes out of the box
Flat tire right out of the box, disc brakes are slightly warped making it impossible to adjust pads without still hearing a grinding noise. Otherwise a good looking bike.

Hard to ride
The pedals hit the front tire.
