The term mycorrhizal comes from a Greek origin of the two words "mykes", meaning fungus, and "rhiza", meaning root. These types of fungi have been able to establish symbiotic (or mutually beneficial) relationships with a wide variety of plants over time. More than 90% of plant species in natural areas form a symbiotic relationship with the beneficial mycorrhizal fungi. The networks created in the root system of plants by the mycorrhizae essentially create more surface area for the roots to be able to access and absorb more water and nutrients from the soil. Application Guidelines: Mix at a rate of 2 Tablespoons to 12 gallons of water or 16 Tablespoons to 200 gallons water. Keep agitated. Deep root injection: Use spray pattern. Allow passage of No. 70 screen (212+ micron) particles. For porus media use as a soil drench. 1 lb treats 2,000-4,000 sq feet, depending on plant size. For ball & burlap plantings spray or pour on root balls just before backfilling or mix 1 pound inoculum directly into potting soil at a rate of 4-12 ounces per cubic yard.
