I Don't Usually Do This But...
CB3 Hush Noise Cancelling HeadphonesI have in no way been paid or told to give a positive or negative review of this product.I dont usually write reviews especially this long, but I really like these headphones. And when I bought them there werent enough good and hearty reviews and I think these are great headphones. Im glad i took a chance. so *cracks knuckles* lets do this.Areas I will discuss in this review are packing, comfort, sound, noise cancelling and other misc. things that matter but not to the point that they deserve a full paragraph.Packaging- I am an absolute sucker for good packaging. To me, good presentation is probably one of the most important things about the product from a consumers standpoint. If i;m going to shell out 90 bucks on something I want an experience from the get go. And an experience is what I get with these!! First thing you get with the box is some branding and you see some male model rocking the headphones with the silver and black color accents. If youre even the slightest bit OCD like me, I am letting you know right now to get the silver and black ones. I have no idea why it bothers me so much, but it does. I got the all black ones, because I like the color black. It works with everything and you can find a a black case for everything. it just works. You open the box and there is not plastic (thank the lord) and you just pull out a black hard shell case. I threw it on the ground with a little force a few times to test it. I do this with all the covers I order (accept for my ipad. Im not an idiot) You spend money on things, you want them to be protected. the case will protect the headphones. You open the packaging and feast your eyes on some great looking headphones. And something that also impressed me is that they put all the cords into a very nice mesh ZIPPED pocket. way better than other headphone cases that just have some mesh pocket and all your crap will flop around. It's a small and petty annoyance. But its another thing that I dont have to worry about. thanks CB3Comfort - very comfortable. The ear cups are a nice material that dont lay ON your ear , but cups over your ear. Very nice if you have a cartilage piercing like me. I have a pair of SONY MDR XB 650BT's and they hurt my piercing to the point that i had to change it out. Very irritating. They stretch very well. I did a strenuous stretch and bend test. Not one creak. Good build. I have an afro. It fits over well and theyre still functional. If youre bald liek shaq or fro'd up like me, they should work. you'll be fine. they do get very hot. I dance a lot and I listen to everything. if you plan on working out on these, be aware of that. I doubt anyone will be going to the gym with these. but if that is your intention, you know, to block out the terrible EDM and the clanking of the weights then again be aware.sound - now. I am a self proclaimed... LOL just kidding. I am not an audiophile. BUT, I do appreciate good sound. I hate bad speakers. I had bad headphones. I hate bad vinyl players. I look at earpods as last resorts or work out accessories. sweat them out and keep it moving.now i can only speak for people like me who appreciate good sound. Get these headphones. The sound is nice. I listened to everything with these headphones. Listened to hip hop (kendrick fan anyone?) I listened to some salsa and popular spanish music. Marc Anthony to Youth Brigade. Miles Davis to Christina Aguilera. Not to bass heavy, but not flat to the point, that its not fun anymore. Now if youre a bass lover who absolutely needs it. Im talking about the person wo listens to dr dre and deathcore daily, these kinda arent for you. but if you listen to everything, you will like these. get them.noise cancelling: now I know, that most of you are like me. You looked at bose qc35 or the sony MDR 1000x and you said "psh if you dont get the... im not paying 300-350 dollars for headphones. I may be a fool, but I'm not a DANG FOOL" I tried the QC35's at the Apple store and I was hooked to the idea of noise cancelling. Living with a roommate in a studio apartment made me fall in LOVE with the idea of noise cancelling. now when you charge these first and put them on you HAVE to burn them in. I cannot emphasize this enough. Listen to them for about 30 minutes and get the drivers warmed up and broken in a little. THEN turn the NC on. It's beautiful.its not going to block super loud claps and louder than normal talking. (i did both of these things in my apartment by myself. I know my neighbors think im a psycho but i'll tell my landlord it was for science) but it will block out cars driving by your window. (small city living anyone?) your fridge going all time (studio apartment living anyone?) your roommate droning on about the last episode of whatever? Blocked. im not sure about the drone of an airplane. I am not speaking from the perspective of a frequent flyer. I am speaking from the perspective of someone in an apartment in the city. These headphones arent going to block out a nuclear bomb. If thats the level of quiet you need and/or want, take a sewing needle and puncture your eardrums. But if you need something to block out the irritating sounds, and you dont want to irritate your bank account. get these.Other/MISC.: bluetooth works. it can be a bit iffy when it wants to be. Make sure your device is close to your headphones or your headphones are close to your device. It'll make the process a bit smoother. It does pair nicely initially though.NO NFC. Could be a deal breaker for some. I dont care though.Sound leaks like crazy if they're stupid loud. If you plan on listening to music while in bed next to your spouse, you might annoy them.the controls are different. make sure you read the manual. hold the next/back buttons to control volume. weird. but not a deal breaker.all in all, a wonderful experience. 5/5. I give it a full rating cause it does what was advertised. Personal feelings are obsolete when it comes to that. And I just wanted to say that they sent an email to me welcoming me as a new customer. Which kind of made me want to write this. The company appreciates the customers. I really liked that. Will definitely check out other products.

1st Week Impressions - Not too shabby!
This is a first impression review. I will update after my upcoming vacation. I want to see how the ANC works on my transatlantic flight.Length of use: 1 weekScope of use: Office and homeMusic Genres: Rap, EDM, Blues/Jazz, Rock, ClassicalDesign: I like that this pair is very light. The ear pads are very comfortable. I wear glasses and even after 2+ hours of continuous wear, my ears didn't hurt and my temples didn't hurt either. Some other over ear head phones push my glasses into the sides of my head, eventually causing discomfort. It doesn't feel like the sturdiest of headphones, but for the price point it seems reasonable to me. Only more time will tell.Sound Quality: As other reviewers have alluded to, the sound is definitely "richer" with the ANC is on. When ANC is off, it sounds like a flatter/truer sound profile. I'm no audiophile. All I know is that it sounds good either way. I prefer a little more base so the sound profile with the ANC on is great.ANC: I used these at work where I have some noisier co-workers. The ANC did a decent job of cutting down the background noise. Please note that it does not COMPLETELY cut out the noise, but it was good enough that I didn't have to have the volume as high as I would normally have to. I am taking these on an upcoming flight so I'm hoping that the ANC is good enough to cut down on the ambient airplane noise.Battery Life: I wore them for almost 10 hours with the ANC on and they still had a charge. They're advertised for up to 15 hours but I haven't run them down yet. One thing in this department is that there's no way for me to tell how much battery is left. I use a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and I haven't figured out a way yet to determine the current charge level of the headphones.Accessories: I really like that it comes with a hard case. I also like that the inside of the case has a velcro section that holds a bag of your USB charging cord and a 3.5mm cable. All around a nice design choice.Summary: So far so good! Sounds good, feels great, and for the price point, I feel like I got a great deal. Time will tell how well they'll hold up and hopefully I can get a clearer picture once I get back from vacation.
