I am very pleased with the barbie shower
I am a kid. I am very pleased with the barbie shower. I am happy with everything that came with it. The Barbie stands in the shower perfectly. I do not see why peopple always complain about it because I have seen many reviews and they said the feet are flat. The feet are supposed to be flat so the she could stand. I am very happy with it and I don't think I can be any happier with this thing. Great toy for other kids who beg for a shower like this one.fromAlexa

Get clean and fresh the frosted, ruffled, bow-accented way...with Barbie's Glam Shower (2013?)
THE FACTS: I want to get this year's Barbie Dream House (The one that comes with a garage), but it only contains a bathtub, and so when I saw that this cool Barbie Glam Shower was available on Amazon, I decided that I'd get it early! If it doesn't work with the 2015 Dream House, I'll simply use it with another Barbie house that I already have, because it's absolutely LOVELY!I believe that I was able to purchase this shower set for a reasonable price, and it arrived BEFORE the Estimated Arrival Date window! The Glam Shower's box is dated 2012, so it's probably a 2013 (?) addition to Barbie's world. It's recommended for kids who are 3 and over. The set arrives with a removable/ adjustable shower head, a removable shelf, three removable accessories, a removable mirror, a bathmat, and a flat-footed Barbie doll, who is wearing a strappy wrap cover-all. An instruction sheet is also included. On the back of the box are photos of the entire Glam Collection, which consisted of a Glam Vacation House, a Glam Bedroom, a Glam Bathroom, a Glam Dining Room, a Glam Vanity, a Glam Laundry set, a Glam Refrigerator, a Glam Microwave Set, a Glam Breakfast Set, AND a Glam Vacuum Set!NOTE: Most of the colors that exist within this set are true to the colors that are shown in Amazon's advertising photo; the colors of the shower door are the most obvious exceptions. In reality, the shower door features translucent and SEMI-translucent sections that are two different shades of LIGHT PURPLE; there is NOTHING about this shower door that is truly a white-lavender color! There are five light purple "ruffles" that have the look of translucent jelly candies, and there are four slightly rougher-textured "ruffles" that are a frosted hue of light purple. So, even though the shower door doesn't have the same amount of contrast that it has in Amazon's picture, it is truly lovely...in its own textured way!THE GOOD: The box was in fairly good condition, and everything looked presentable. The Barbie is actually really pretty (Blonde hair, blue eyes, and pretty pink eye shadow); her hair isn't super thick, but it can be brushed, and when it's brushed back, it looks pretty! The dark pink wrap features straps, velcro closures, and a bow print design that's rather lovely. Barbie's included towel (?) actually looks more like a bathmat to me; when it's positioned like a "red carpet" (OOPS! Sorry, Barbie! I mean a "pink carpet"...LOL!), it appears to feature the same design that's on the shower door...except that it's in shades of pink, of course. The shower itself seems to be fairly sturdy (It seems to stand flatly on flat wooden surfaces, anyway), and it's absolutely ADORABLE! The base, and the floor of the shower are white; the base features Barbie's monogram, a pair of high heeled shoe motifs, and some curlicues. The floor of the shower features a diamond design. The shower's walls are all a pretty pink shade, and they feature a "tiled" look, which is cool; the uppermost "tiles" are rectangular, instead of diamond-shaped, for added visual interest. This shower features four corner shelves, two of which sit at about the height of Barbie's chest, and the other two of which sit at about the height of Barbie's hips. The silvery grey "faucet" doesn't literally "work" (It doesn't turn), but it DOES feature a cute little bow accent. The matching shower head features a big bow accent, and you can adjust its direction, AND its height, so that even Barbie's littlest sister can get squeaky clean after her time at the beach! The shower door is truly one of the BEST features of this shower! It features ruffles that provide a contrast in texture, AND it features a bright pink door handle that sports two molded bow accents! In addition, the top AND the bottom of the door are adorned with little molded dots, which provide yet two more points of interest. The mirror is absolutely adorable, what with its "ruffle" and bow accents, and the little white shelf features pretty, interesting curlicues, which will actually hold Barbie's three shower time accessories (A lavender body scrub brush, a lavender bottle of...body wash?, and a pink bottle of perfume). These accessories are pretty darned cute! The lavender-hued accessories feature molded bows, and the perfume bottle is shaped like a female dress form. Each accessory can be held by any modern Barbie doll...with some effort, and they can fit into the holes made by SOME of the curlicues that are featured on the shelf. One more really cool aspect of this entire set is the fact that the cardboard background can actually BECOME Barbie's bathroom, just in case you don't want/ can't afford a new Barbie house. In order to more clearly see the graphics, pull the sides of the background out, so that they can lie flat against any wall. Then, set the shower down on the lowest square of "floor", and enjoy the graphics! To the left, there's a shelf, a T.V., and a towel rack with towels. Behind the shower is a cool sink, and a Barbie shopping/ beach bag. To the right are lights, a monogram picture, and a towel tree.THE BAD: It's sort of tough to install the shelf and the mirror, but they're not TOO difficult to install. I also think that the shower door could have looked more like it does in the promo. pic., AND that a translucent "ruffle" didn't HAVE to fall right at the level of Barbie's...um...personal areas...LOL! It's also sometimes tough to find the right curlicues to place the accessories into, and it's a wee bit tough to make them stay, but they CAN stay in place. The fact that a large circle of pink plastic protrudes from one of the "tiles" that's in the middle of the inside shower wall bugs me, because it doesn't look at all attractive, but that's not TOO big of a deal. Barbie could have received a real, Barbie-sized towel, too, but I do like her bathmat.THE UGLY: When the mirror, the shelf, the faucet, and the shower head-holder are attached to the walls of the shower, their backsides protrude right through the appropriate grooves...to the other sides! So, you can see the "hardware" of the mirror and the shelf...on the right-hand side of the inside of the shower, and on the outer left wall of the shower, you can see the "hardware" of the faucet and the shower head-holder; UGLY! It seems to me as though the left-hand SIDE of Barbie's Glam Shower is going to have to be up against the wall of her Dream House bathroom, so that it isn't an eyesore. I'm also disappointed with the way that I have to hold the top of the shower in order to open and close the door! The shower head is disappointing, too, because it's 100% UNREALISTIC; the bottom of the shower head's pipe DOESN'T connect to the shower wall. Couldn't the adjustable portion of the shower head have moved up and down...within a portion of the "pipe" that was connected to the wall?I just realized that the size of the shower is SO small that Barbie barely has any room for herself! ACK! THAT'S not..."glam"! I guess that if you open the door just slightly, you'll be able to reach in and reposition her arms, but still...It's obvious that a differently-SHAPED shower might have made the space a little larger for Barbie! DISAPPOINTING!Barbie herself is also totally disappointing in some ways. For starters, HER LEGS ARE STRAIGHT, AND YOU CAN'T BEND THEM! Secondly, her flat feet make her a Barbie who's strictly a barefoot gal, 'cause I don't know WHICH SHOES she's gonna wear. Since her hands are NOT articulated, and her fingers are slightly plump, you can't really get her to securely hold her own accessories; an articulated Barbie can hold the accessories around the index finger of her left hand...if you want them to face her torso.RECOMMENDATIONS: This Barbie set is recommended for kids 3+, but, seeing as how it's sort of frustrating for an ADULT to try to open the shower door, and to fit the accessories into Barbie's hand/ onto the shelf, AND seeing as how the accessories are kinda small, anyway, I'D recommend this set for children ages 5 or 6 and older. If you have a 3-year-old, and you MUST buy this set for them, then whenever the accessories are NOT secured within their curlicues, WATCH YOUR KID LIKE CRAZY, 'cause those accessories are kinda small.I think that this Glam Shower set is absolutely ADORABLE, and that it'd make the perfect gift for...* anybody who wants to add a shower to their Barbie house* that special Birthday Girl* a squeaky clean Easter Basket...LOL* that little girl who just took a shower all by herself...for the first time, or that little girl who was extra good about taking a short, water-saving shower for the first time* anybody who appreciates ruffled Barbie furnishings* a little girl who recently got a good report card, did well during a swim meet, or did really well during any other athletic event* somebody who loves both Barbie...AND the colors pink and purpleIN CONCLUSION: This Barbie Glam Shower (2013?) is pretty, ruffly fun for ANY Barbie house, but it can ALSO be used with its own cardboard backdrop. In short, it's an interesting Barbie furniture set that is uniquely ruffly, heavily bow-accented, and "getting ready for a brand new day"-minded!

Great!
My daughter was ecstatic to get a shower for her Barbie house...she only had a tub. It’s adorable and nice quality. I wish the Barbie doll that came with it didn’t have flat feet...none of the shoes we have will fit her.

Hate the barbie! Like the shower
The barbie has large feet. No shoes feet her and she came barefoot. Other than that, I like the shower...

Good Accessory for any Barbie lover
We got this for my daughter's birthday to go with the "Vacation House". The box for the house said that all of the furniture fit in the house, I'm not sure how, but now her Barbies have a place to shower. The doll that comes with this is well thought out, her feet are flatter and wider than most Barbie dolls, and she stands pretty well in the shower. My daughter loved it when she opened it.

Great quality with cardboard wall backing as a Bonus!
Perfect for our granddaughters 3 story Barbie doll house that my husband made for her. She loves it and we even left it stuck to the cardboard backing and just glued it to the walls of the house and removing only some of the parts from the packaging. This was a bonus too! Perfect size, but good thing we made the floors 1 foot between to make sure we had enough room.

Daughter loves this
We got this for our daughter for Christmas and she was really excited to get this and add it to her doll house she has in her bedroom. The shower came in a few pieces and was very easy to put together and did not need to look at instructions. Appears to be well made and should hold up to the normal wear and tear of a 6 year old girl. The only downside, to this is that it has a really strong smell plastic/rubber smell that takes a few days to dissipate. Other than the smell great gift for our little daughter.
