I purchased these for the small hive beetle infestation I encountered late summer. The traps effectively cut down on the hive beetles, saving my beehive from these terrible pests.This is my first year using these traps. There were no instructions included with the traps. While these were actually very simple to use, I had watch some YouTube videos to learn how these work.I would stress it’s important to make sure all the oil is wiped clean from the trap before placing in the hive. Even a small drop left on top of the trap will kill a bee. Also, important to make sure the oil doesn’t spill when you insert in to the hive. It was easy to use without spilling and very effective.The bees did put some propolis around the wooden frame and the traps but it was not difficult working my hive tool under the plastic to loosen before removing to replace oil

I found them very flimsy : they don’t close well , want to open back up after placing . I use them outside of the hives to catch ants before they can enter and cause mischief . I am kinda disappointed with their quality . 🤷‍♂️

These traps are high quality and have a clip to keep them in place. They also open at the top for ready filling

I really like these traps and they seem to work very well. At least, they have trapped quite a few beetles. You put some apple cider vinegar in the center compartment as bait and vegetable oil in the other two to ensnare beetles who come looking for food. The oil suffocates them and they die. When the trap gets too full, throw it away and replace it with a new one. The trap(s) slip between two frame, so they are easy to install.

These are a little harder to use than the beetle blaster, but you can add an attractant and you can reuse them. I tried the beetle blaster for a few weeks, and they just didn't work, main reason is because they wouldn't fit flush between the hive frames. and the beetles would just be under them. I just installed these and they fit almost flush, and the beetles should be able to walk right over the lip and into the trap. we set them up with canola oil and apple vinegar, I hope they work well.

They work great but I wish they were reusable
