I used the rubber fittings as this suggested a better fit and more likely to remain in place. So far this has been the case, they are sturdy and a very snug fit, a little pressure to force them into the holes and then tighten loosely, replace seat to check alignment and adjust by moving the seat itself, lift seat away and the tighten fully, hold the pins that go into the seat itself and push against the torque and use a battery gun to tighten, once down, reset the seat and double check the alignment as they spindle can move slightly preventing the seat from fitting, adjust again and the seal up and place the seat back into position. That's it, done and so far no movement. Brilliant, fully recommend, and keep the nylon for spares just in case.

Sottinni Compatible - The Black rubber hinges easy to install
The rubber BLACK hinges were fantastic, easy to install on my sottinni toilet seat cover But the white plastic hinges were hard and rigid .

It is possible to fix the new toilet seat when it is not staight.
The new type of toilet seat is completely different from the earlier one. It was not easy to find out the cure, but succeeded in the end.
