Everything you need to get started is included. Installation was fast and easy. Choosing channels took longer and a bit of patience. My favorite, along with Pandora, is TubiTV which is free and has movies Netflix doesn't even have yet! The remote reacts even if not pointed directly at the box. Having the earphones is a big plus! When I purchased my Roku, I had no idea that I was going to like it as much as I do! Roku is TV viewing of the future, and it's amazing how many people already have it. My plans are to get a second one for our other TV, and then not renew our cable contract this fall. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to enjoy watching TV while saving money on cable bills at the same time.UPDATE: On 5/7/17, I ordered my 2nd Roku Premiere+ for our other TV. I didn't mention before, but this unit is capable of extra storage with a micro-SD card. And...you can take your Roku with you when you travel to watch movies and play games!UPDATE: On 10/7/17, We cancelled our cable contract and went with WIFI only. We are streaming live TV through a service and it is working out better than we expected it to. The service is month-to-month with no contract and has all the benefits of our cable service for much less money. Best of all.....hubby is happy with it!UPDATE: On 12/22/17, We couldn't be happier. There's no going back. Yes, some of the movies are old, but some of the free movies on the Roku Channel (which I recommend) are only 2-3 years young. New free content is added every month. Pandora and iHeart radio is free along with plethora of other stations including karaoke. Our streaming service (Hulu) and what it includes is working out awesomely. The only thing I wish is that my cable contract had ended earlier so I could have made the switch sooner.

The Roku player itself works great. I purchased it primarily to stream MLB.tv, and it works great for that. Figured why not get the bundle--the Sling has no value to me, but the Fandango coupon-in theory-does. The "in theory" is the reason I downgrade this to 4 stars--I have yet to successfully redeem my coupon, which should be an extremely straightforward process--but it hasn't worked, and that is annoying...

Got a chance to try it out on an 80" 4K display. Amazing if you can get the content, and have a fast network connection. Packaging was pretty irritating to open, though.

Easy set up, easy to use, and I’m no longer paying for cable and can watch a ton of tv for free. The shows load fast and I’ve only had one connection problem which was easily fixed. I was worried about the roku taking forever to buffer or lag, but we haven’t had any issues with it. The picture is really high quality and shows are very easy to search. Totally worth the money!

First this has instructions included and they are so very simple to follow. Setup is a breeze. You could do this without even reading instructions. We purchased to use with Hulu. The interface is very user friendly. Easy to add and remove channels, everything is very simple to navigate! Works as it should!!!

Amazing how Roku keeps improving their boxes - this is about the 5th oneI've bought since the Roku 2. Haven't been able to view a 4K movie yet, and my new TCL 4K TV has Roku built in.

Cut the cable and using this along with OTA (antenna) TV.

Highly recommend the Roku. Works great and meets all my expectations. Very customizable to my preferences.
