I use it for frying, sautéeing, finishing, baking, greasing, etc. It lasts quite a while with a whole gallon, I transfer it to multiple glass containers once I receive it to be as "safe" as I can against prolonged plastic contact. It's got a great neutral taste that I dont notice any more than a rapeseed oil. The smoke point is fantastic I've never had this oil smoke on me in any scenario ive ever had cooking, I don't know what type of industrial forges some of these nay-sayer reviews are vying for by saying it "smoked their house up" I guess they used it as a fire retardant for their gas stoves... I'm glad this company makes this oil because I use it exclusively at my house and wouldn't choose anything different when it comes to cooking for my parents. Hope this helps, God Bless. Review: Great Affordable Oil! Pantry Staple / Stock Prep - Loving it so far! I have used it in a glass oil spray bottle with the spray or pour function. I have made 4 omelettes with it so far and 3 were great! The first one my egg stuck and I was so disappointed but gave it a shot and pretty sure I used more oil sprayed in my pan for the other 3 omelettes and they have not stuck at all and WOW was a different positive flavor it gives to my eggs vs EVO that I was using. Yesterday I made a loaf of bread in my bread machine and used this Avocado Oil in place of my stick butter. Had some of the bread this morning with my omelette and the bread turned out great! Great flavor still. ( I had seen a YouTuber on Acre Homestead make a versatile recipe for a “one dough challenge” on trying the same bread recipe to make so many different bread items, she used Avocado Oil in her recipe and mentioned something about it being a nutral flavored oil ) so I knew I needed an affordable Avocado oil option and my goodness this is it!! I also think it made my bread turn out a little moist compared to using butter So happy with it The jug arrived in perfect condition I like how the company has and extra thing around the lid for safety in transit. Was easy to open the jug I don’t know what this oil smells like compared to other brands but it’s seems great to me OH! SMOKE POINT NO ISSUES FOR ME! I hear my pan hot for my omelettes then turn the heat down to medium heat so the oil hits the pan at a high temp No smoke issues for me at all while cooking with this Just buy it! It’s great and so worth it! I will buy again as long as they always keep the price affordable ## Features - Pure Avocado Oil: 100% Pure Avocado Oil, Expeller Pressed, All Natural and Hexane-Free for cooking and culinary applications - Premium Quality Oil: Rich, Thick and Luscious texture that enhances the flavor and quality of your dishes - Convenient Packaging: Gourmet foodservice jugs with heavy duty cap and safety foil seal for secure storage - High Volume Value: One gallon size provides value for high frequency users and regular cooking needs - International Sourcing: Product of Mexico or Spain, Bottled in USA to ensure quality standards and traceability - High Smoke Point: Features a smoke point of over 500F, suitable for frying, sauteing, baking and other high temperature cooking methods - Versatile Culinary Uses: Can be used for cooking, baking, deep frying, as well as in sauces, dressings and marinades ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00MNTRVPS | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #7,740 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ( See Top 100 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ) #9 in Avocado Oils | | Brand | Baja Precious | | Brand Name | Baja Precious | | Container Type | bottle | | Cuisine | Mexican cuisine | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 2,039 Reviews | | Diet Type | Gluten Free, Halal, Keto, Kosher, Paleo | | Flavor | Avocado | | Import Designation | Made in the USA and Imported | | Item Dimensions | 12 x 6 x 6 inches | | Item Form | Hand-Held | | Item Highlight | Food Grade, Perfect for High Heat Cooking, Skincare, Hair Treatments, Soapmaking & More | | Item Package Quantity | 1 | | Item Package Weight | 3.55 kg | | Item Volume | 128 fluid ounces | | Item Weight | 7.7 pounds | | Liquid Volume | 128 fluid ounces | | Manufacturer | Baja Precious | | Net Content Volume | 128 fluid ounces | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Plant or Animal Product Type | Avocado | | Recommended Uses For Product | Baking, Food, Frying | | Size | 128 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) | | Special Features | Expeller Pressed, Refined | | Specialty | Hexane Free | | UPC | 850037602001 | | Unit Count | 128 Fluid Ounces | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Baja Precious - **Flavor:** Avocado - **Item Package Quantity:** 1 - **Liquid Volume:** 128 fluid ounces - **Net Content Volume:** 128 fluid ounces ## Images ![Avocado Oil, 100% Pure, 1 Gallon - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51JduCwt+SL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is your avacado oil refined?** A: So if I get Avocado oil from Costco it is clear. If I get Mark Sisson's extant virgin Avocado oil it is beautiful intense emerald green. Methinks the degree of refinement is somewhere between the two which makes for a nice balance when you want to fry at higher temperatures or use the oil for homemade mayonnaise, salad dressing, etc. **Q: What is the shelf life? how far out from date f purchase does this usually expire?** A: The Internet says 9-12 months in pantry and 12 months in fridge. I have had mine for 3 months so far and I only have a quart left so it really does not last in supply very long. I use for frying eggs and putting a little in frying pan to keep foods from sticking like sausage, hotdogs and such and to make salad dressig I have it in the pantry because too big to put in fridge. . **Q: What is the shelf life of this avocado oil?** A: up to 24 months **Q: Where are the avocados from that make up this oil?** A: My gallon jug says " Product of Mexico or Spain. Bottled in USA " Has a smoke point of 510 degrees F.
