Yo-ZuriTopknot Mainline Natural Clear 200 Yards Fluorocarbon Fishing Line

I have been using Yo-Zuri fluorcarbon for many years with excellent results, but clearly something changed as you can see on the pictures; the left are the just acquired, on the right an old one that was ending so l bought on Amazon a new 20lb. Even at the end you can see the old one was perfectly rolled and new one looked like it was re-spooled; label is slightly different but what worries me is the different color, the new one seemed yellow-ish. I have other old rolls and they are perfectly clear so it is not because it is at the end. I wonder if these are fake. I don’t have how to technically test the lines. I wonder if anybody from Yo-Zuri can explain if these are fake or they actually changed and why.

Just this Spring for the first time I decided to buy what are arguably the three most popular fluorocarbon lines on the market. Seaguar Invzx, Sunline FC sniper and this Yo-Zuri topknot.I literally spooled each one on and off. In the same day on the same lake with the same rod, the same baitcastet and the same lure. Yozuri blew them all away!! It was amazing to feel such a difference between all the lines testing them right after another. This line has amazing castability, knot strength and abrasion resistance. Not to mention it spooled up the cleanest and had the least if any memory. I will only be buying this line going forward, you won’t regret if you do the same.

I have always used Seaguar Fluorocarbon because it’s super strong and really great but very expensive so I decided to find something cheaper that is close to as good … Well this YoZuri Top Knot is as good if not better and it’s about 10/15.00 less per 200 yds . It’s thinner than Seaguar and every bit as strong and abrasion resistant.. give it a try it’s good line or leader which is what I use it for .. why spend more for so called special leader and get less for your money , buy the 200 yd spool it’s the same line in a different package .. I’d Much rather have 200 yds than 30 yds for the same price ..

I received this order and when I started to spook this onto my reels I noticed every 3-5ft had a terrible kink in the line or some kind of manufacturing defect of some sort & I went consistently through the entire full spool so very upsetting on ordering these this time because I use a ton of this line it’s my favorite and very unfortunate to have fear that all my line will be like this if ordered through here. Since I Bass Fish professionally for a living it makes this a very BIG Deal. And I can’t have last minute orders coming in with defects that render the whole spool useless.

I can't find a better flouro for the price. It's certainly not the best but it does everything well enough and it's almost half the price of some of the higher end lines. Id put it in the same category with the spiderwire flouro and the Berkeley vanish as far as price goes and it handles exponentially better than either of those.

My line broke in the middle of my spool on my reel. I've never seen such a thing. I've been fishing with it a lot and that is the only break I've encountered. I really like that the line doesn't have a lot of memory. Casts well. Budget friendly.

absolute garbage. line would barely spool, first cast 3/4 of it shot off my spinning reel. bought a different brand, same 16lb test and not one issue. will never buy Yo Zuri again, buy berkley vanish instead and save yourself the time and money.
