Works great but need to add BMS
This is my second build with this board. It dose what it says and all batterys stay within .001 of each other during discharge and within an hour or so after charging. Good quality has a coating that protects the board and keep it safe from vibration and moisture.

Perfect
The 4S 1.2A Li-ion Lipo Lifepo4 Battery Active Equalizer Balancer is a small and compact addition to a DIY battery to ensure cells are kept in balance without the need of an additional BMS board. There are 3 red LEDs at the bottom of the board (farthest from the connector) that illuminate whenever the board is balancing. Each led represents power going between specific cells in the battery.I paired this board with a 100 watt bidirectional tpye C charging board. The type C board does not have any balance function but it does have over-charge and over-discharge protection.Typically, to make sure the battery does not get out of sync with itself you would need to add a dedicated BMS to balance the cells. This board eliminates the need for a full BMS by adding the balance function to the batteries without the complexity of adding charge and discharge protection.

Might catch fire even if wired properly
I'm doing an update on my review because this is the third board that caught fire I thought it was something that I was doing but everything was running fine until my BMS cut off and I went to go recharge but I noticed my BMS cut off a little early and then outside of the box I smell circuit board and I already knew what was going on I'd rather pay five times as much than to risk everything

Cool little battery cell balancer.
These things are not forgiving so you must take your time and hook them up correctly, testing everything at least twice before you plug in the board. If you blow it, well, you blew it.The board works as advertised once installed correctly. Love the little LEDs indicating which pairs are out of balance. One star off for limited application. I wish it worked on 100+ amp cells.

Active is best
Acrive balancers are better because they take volts from the high cell and feeds it to the low cell. For a true cell balancing. Vs the old style where it would just bleed off voltag from the high cell.

This balances my 5S 18650 packs perfectly
I've had some DeWalt batteries that seem to get out-of-balance with age, or more recently, TWO 2-year old packs...(I suspect they are counterfeit, even though they have all the "legit" markings of DeWalt) I soldered the balance leads to Pomona clips, and I just take the battery top cover off, and attach the clips to each cell. When I'm satisfied that everything is connected right, I plug in the balance plug to the jack on this board, and it goes to work. It has brought back batteries that won't charge or run my drill to (seemingly) full function.

Not sure this is working as expected
With my dc meter, I measured total battery, individual battery banks. I wrote them down. I connected this device to my battery, hoping that the LED will display the balanced and unbalanced banks. My voltage for 2 banks are at 3.9v while the others at 4.11v. While inserted, the LEDs are off sometimes and some LEDs will turn on when unplugged and re-plugged. I am not sure if I got a good one.

Active BMS
Works, just fine. The last active bms I had kept the balance from 50mv to 100+mv never any better.Qinizx sold me the ones I have now and never saw more then 35mv to 10 mv . Maybe I am old and faulty like my equipment but I would say that pretty good, so I bought 3 more (hope they work as well as the first 2).

Doesn't do much
It worked a couple times a little bit but involved unplugging and replugging the connector a ton and when it did eventually start working, it gave up leaving the battery as unbalanced as it was before.

Fue una excelente mejora a mi paquete de baterías. Ahora me duran más y pueden cargar más energía.
Me gusta los indicadores led. Tal vez le haga falta venir acompañado de diagramas e instrucciones.
