Excellent quality
The price of sunflower seeds has skyrocketed in the past month or so, and just seems to keep increasing. The usual brand I buy is over $30 for a 5lb bag right now, and I honestly cannot bring myself to pay that. This was listed at a lower price (still a little yikes!) but I love my wildlife buddies, and decided to just do it.The first thing I noticed was the freshness. Most bags of sunflower kernels for wild birds smell like they're on their way out. I've even had a couple orders that I had to toss in the garbage because they were so spoiled. This bag had that super fresh, nutty sunflower seed smell to it.I noticed the seeds were mostly all whole as well, which is another problem with some other brands that should be whole kernel but aren't. I'd say there was less than a teaspoon of actual broken seeds or husk residue in this bag.The only thing that's a disappointment is the price. But that's not necessarily the fault of the brand. If you keep up with the news, you may know what's going on with shortages & crop production so there's no need to explain.I'm sticking with this brand going forward. It's just too good to go back from. And the critters went crazy over it, which is the whole point after all.

The birds fight over it.
Once the birds discovered my window feeder with this feed in it, it’s been frenetic. The birds are so funny in fighting over the perch. They love the food! It’s less messy than seeds in shells (yay!), which is great, but it’s not completely mess free. The little seed coatings get all over my deck and it will attract mice, so you’ll want to put out a bait trap or something for that. But all worth it to watch the antics of house finches and chickadees.

Great Seed. HIGH COST!
I bought these sunflower seeds for my backyard birds, and they can't get enough of them, emptying a full feeder daily. However, the cost is a drawback. At two bags per week, I'm spending $50 weekly, which adds up to $200 monthly. While the quality is undeniable, the expense is significant. If you're looking for a product that birds love and you can afford the upkeep, it's an excellent choice. Otherwise, consider more affordable alternatives.

Good but expensive
The birds and squirrels love these seeds. I used to buy the 25 lb bag regularly, the price has increased so much that now I can only buy the 5 lb bag and put out a smaller amount for only the birds.

Picky Birds!
I feed many birds every day. I enjoy watching them and listening to them sing! I have realized I have picky birds as they love these sunflower seeds and flock to them. If I buy cheaper seeds at the grocery or pet store, they don’t empty my feeders each day.

Happy birds
These are seeing a lot of birds happily through the snowy, cold winter, and keeping my cat happy watching them on the balcony. If the seeds run out, the blue jays loudly inform us it’s time for a refill. Excellent, no mess or waste.

Birds go nuts for it
We put out a feeder for the first time ever using this stuff. Within a couple days the average number of birds in our backyard was about 18. The 5lbs of sunflower seed was gone within a week and a half. The bag was definitely entirely sunflower seeds; no filler anywhere to be found. Great deal! Definitely recommend.
