Winsor & Newton - What Can I Say More?
Full disclosure: I'm a fan.Winsor & Newton is arguably the best quality one can get in generally available art supplies (harder to find are Daniel Smith and Schmincker). I have yet to purchase a W&N product that I wasn't thrilled about -- and this was no exception. The balance is exquisite with an organic grip, and the bristles offer natural and balanced water retention. The tip is versatile enough for both responsive and broad gestural strokes. It feels like a natural extension of my hand and "stays out of my head" when I'm in a creative flow.Love it!

1 inch mop brush with goat hair
This brush works excellent with oil paint hence the goat hair. Love love love this brush.. And it does not shed at all.

Good quality, not necessarily the best in its type
Great brush, good material, width and density.Didn't lose hair with first uses, keeps its shape after use.Cheap finiky plastic cover for the tip, it would be much better to provide a more rigid one (cheaper brushes do).One less star because these brushes are supposed to be stored vertically, hanging. This should have a loop at the top for that, as many other brands have.

Poor package
The brush it self it's amazing, holds water very well, nice long strokes, the hair is very good quality, but the only down side it's the packaging, it came in a plastic bag, a box would be nice, it didn't broke thankfully, but very poorly packed for such a nice brush and amazing brand

Chinese brush
The brush was much bigger than the one I ordered. Also there is no designation on the brush about what size it is. I wouldn’t recommend this brush to another customer.

“PAY ABSOLUTELY NO ATTENTION TO ANY 1,2,or 3 * reviews! These are Wonderful Hake Brushes”
These are absolutely wonderful Brushes! If your using them correctly! These types of brushes are “KNOWN FOR” creating washes, and or, spreading a lot of paint around on a “LARGE AREA OR SPACE” you “DO NOT” use these to paint fine details, as I’ve already said these are absolutely perfect for use in washes, or to cover a lot of area in a short amount of time…I’m starting to believe these negative reviews are from people that don’t know what Hake brushes are really used for? Even if a brush loses a few hairs or (whatever is used in making ANY particular brush used in watercolor or acrylic paintings) it does happen! But does that mean you put down the maker or company of said brush because in your painting you experienced the loss of a few hairs? Come on People! That’s life! It happens! For Gods sake! get a clue, nothing and nobody is PERFECT! Only God is Perfect, quit leaving bad reviews over (1) bad experience! That really wasn’t that bad at all! Grow up! Great Company! Wonderful Products! Are they perfect? Of course not!Sometimes mistakes are made…quality control can miss something, it gets Thru, it gets sold to a painter or Artist, so what do you do? Shoot them ? Curse them? Give a Bad review? (4th choice) Or do you text the company with a picture of the brush your unhappy with and give them a chance to make it right? I say the 4th choice is the right choice!Respectfully Yours,Stephen JeffriesMentor, Ohio
