HUBBY FINDS IT A LIFE SAVER
as a recent right leg amputee, this provides so much freedom for him to still drive, he spent days investigating products. He chose two from this company, one that is bolted in the vehicle, and it's "sister" product with a heavy metal plate that makes it portable from vehicle to vehicle, he's very pleased with them. The professional who installed them for him was very impressed with the idea, the quality and how well they worked.

Not Bad, But A Few Things To Consider - Rav4
After a knee replacement, I'm still having some pain and discomfort, and driving tends to leave me sore and stiff. That's why I got this, hoping to fully relieve my right knee. Since my 20's I have at times driven using my left leg to give my right leg a break on long trips, etc. (Of course using the right side gas pedal). Driving this way is not ideal and I can only maintain it for a little while before it becomes too uncomfortable.I just got this yesterday and have put it in and tried it, so here are the problems, somewhat in order of least to biggest annoyance:1. It needs a lot of adjustments, but at least they are easy to make. The tools and hardware are included.2. I understand that the right pedal is there for the right foot to rest on and not accidentally press the gas pedal, but I find it kind of a bother. I generally keep my right foot on the floor, so I'm going to remove it and see if I like that better.3. The left pedal springing back was an issue. It makes it lag in a way that seems like it's not precise, or something. I just removed the spring and let the gas pedal push it back. That helps with that issue.4. The biggest issue is that the center piece or pivot point sits under the brake. It really gets in the way of my foot and what I'm used to feeling when pressing that pedal. It's kind of like if a bottle was stuck under it, or if the carpet came loose and rolled up under it. I've pushed the device all the way up to see if that helps. It's better, but still awkward. I'm thinking of trying to get something like a pedal extender and see if that helps. My biggest problem, however is really my issue rather than the device, but I think it's worth noting if you are thinking about getting one of these. As I said above, I have, at times, driven with my left foot to relieve my right leg. As a result, I have the "muscle memory" of hitting the left pedal to break and right to accelerate, even with my left leg. With this device in my car, I realized I have to unlearn this. Although I am retraining as I practice with this, I am concerned that someone may dart out in front of me, for instance, even if I'm going slowly, and I'll hit the left pedal to stop, which now will accelerate the car!I am driving more slowly and carefully, and I haven't come close to this, but it's worth pointing out if you're considering it.All in all, if you need to drive with your left foot for some reason, I would say, go ahead and get this. It will help you. Just keep in mind what it will involve and take the time to get used to it.I will update this with a picture of my installation soon and any other thoughts, if they come to me.

Quality Product! Quick Easy Release!
I purchased this for my mom and it is definitely a quality product. Unfortunately, the floor in my mom’s car under the gas pedal has a very unusual dip in it, so it would’ve made self installation difficult. After returning this left foot gas pedal, we had one professionally installed because it needed a lot of extra spacers to level it out, And after we went to pick up the car guess what? They used almost an identical left foot gas pedal as this one here on Amazon, but it was much more expensive because of the installation. If you know what you are doing and the floor in your car it’s pretty level you should be able to install this easily. You will need to make sure you get the correct size bolts/screws to install in the floor of your car.

Don't waste your money!!!
This is a great idea, but very poorly made. I would have been severely injured if I used this. I suffered a stroke and my right foot is useless, so I thought this was great; boy was I wrong! It won't return once it's pushed down! Super dangerous! I can't believe Amazon would sell this. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Left accelerator pedal.
Well I read all the reviews & felt like I was well informed before made a decision, and at the end of the day ! This did not do what I needed it to do . And with some ingenuity & gumption I made it work for what I needed. Defn not portable unless you do a lot of prep in each & EVERY vehicle you think your gonna transfer it into to … What I needed was a system that would work for me in multiple vehicles…(as this was a workers comp reimbursement). But. That’s not what I got .. I made the necessary changes (not a big deal). But but I’ll have to Pay for my other vehicles that I drive for additional units … because this isn’t mobil from vehicle to vehicle) for each set up I get going forwarded dedicating each vehicle set up .. there are quite a ew options out there . And now I know !!

Doesn’t fit Nissan Frontier exactly
Or the Nissan Murano but it works. The pedal bar is too long and is blocked by the left foot rest. I will probably have to cut the bar down smaller. Tried finding their website to see if this is something I can do without compromising the integrity of it but no luck.I still use it and it works just not as smooth as I would like.
