Very difficult to fix to a sewn-in zip
No instructions were included. The brief "how to install the zipper" in the product description shows you only how to install a new head onto an open-ended zipper, which is trivial.There is no mechanism to temporarily separate the top and bottom of the head, to install it onto a sewn-in zip, without unpicking all the sewing.To fix it onto my holdall zip, I had to gently prise apart the head with a chisel, until there was enough clearance to fit it over the teeth, then use pliers to bend it back to its original shape. After a bit more squeezing together, it does now seem to work, though I imagine it will have been weakened by the bending, so it may not last long.On the plus side, there are many parts of different sizes, and they all appear to be sturdy.But it doesn't really live up to the claim to be "a versatile solution to fix any zipper-related issues on your belongings".
