In the first three photos the name is carved into a piece of maple that has been laminated to a piece of walnut. The lettering cuts through the maple into the walnut for the stunning effect. The name plate is then trimmed in walnut. The base is made of walnut and is trimmed in maple. The reverse is also available as illustrated in the last three photos. Either way, simply send us the name you want to appear and we will test carve it on our software and send you an image of the results for your approval. If you prefer "all caps" please let us know. The dimensions of the name plate base in photos: 12-1/2" long by 2-1/2" wide by 3/8" high. The name plate stands 3-1/8" high. We will match the name provided with dimensions of name plate to insure proper proportions. We can also substitute wood types, if you have a preference please let us know. There are no stains or dyes used. We use real wood so grain pattern will vary. The natural beauty of both the walnut and maple is brought out with our custom blended hand rubbed oil finish.
