Good Airline Case for Handguns
This case is a good case for storing a handgun in your luggage while flying (This is completely legal if done correctly), as the case is both lightweight and so contributes little to potentially pushing you into a higher cost weight bracket while packed into a bigger suitcase/bag, while also being one of the slimmer cases on the market and so not eating up a lot of room. Despite being slim however the foam padding has proven thick enough to not cause any issues on that front. The gaps in the corners can also have cable locks applied relatively easily so that you can secure the firearm (required for air travel). It doesn't have the bulky extra protection of their vault series of firearm cases, but this is meant for a different purpose and it fulfils that purpose well.

pelican is a trusted name!
1st of all, kudos to amazon for fast free shipping.package came 2 days early. The P1075 came as advertised with pick and pluck foam on the bottom half and its customizable to your pistol. I bought an x-acto knife from staples($5.79) to cut the foam for a nice clean look and a snug fit for my xdm 40 s&w 3.8 compact I also was able to put 3 mags in there too. I cut out 1-16 round mag and 2-11 round mags.in the pick and pluck foam, you just have to space them out so you get a nice form fit so they wont move around. I like the fact that it comes with 2 not 1 lockable hasps. The clasp on the case to close it is is very sturdy and locks the case very well, I was alittle doubtful on how the case locks but after opening and closing the case many times..the clasp/lock holds up and the case never opened unexpectectedly! there is also and automatic valve for pressure under the clasp/lock its out of the way. Overall...excellent case plus the lifetime guarantee can't be beat...I would recommend to friends and family. I'm a satisfied customer!

Not very pluck friendly
This is the worst pick and pluck foam I've ever used. Had to use a utility knife to coat the foam to shape. Nothing about it was pluck-able. Besides that it's a nice case and exactly what I was looking for.

Great case if you want something slim, and easy to customize to fit your firearm
I was using a "Tactical" brand case for my S&W Shield, which offers excellent protection but is very bulky. I wanted a slimmer case, and this Pelican slim case is much easier to manage when carrying a range bag, targets and other firearms. The pick & pluck foam is easy to remove for a custom fit. I used this kit (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DRKZNP7) to cut around my pistol and magazines, and now it looks like a custom case.

Ok Case, but not typical Pelican Quality
First, let me say I have three or four Pelican cases, and they've all been top notch. This case on the other hand, is just ok in my opinion. As some have mentioned, the pick-n-pluck insert is on the stiff side, and even seems like there is a coating on the very top, making the foam even stiffer. This might make "plucking" the foam hard for some, which might lead to undesirable results. I had a hot wire foam cutter that I used, and it worked fine. I've never been a fan of the pick-n-pluck foam, as the pieces are cut in small squares, and obviously the gun is not a square, so it aways comes out looking like crap (again highly recommend the hot wire foam cutter for these types of tasks). My problem lies in the fact. the case is not very deep, and thus the gun/mags don't sit very deep into the foam. This lead to (at least in my situation), there being small gaps on the side of the case. These gaps obviously don't make for a water-tight seal, and thus the "waterproof" aspect of this case is lost. I don't plan on submerging my pistol in water, but if they are claiming it's supposed to be water-tight, then I would expect it to be.Again, I love Pelican cases, and will buy more in the future, but this particular case is not up to the level of quality that I've been accustomed to from the Pelican brand.

Great product.
This case is perfect for my Walther PPK/S! It fits my PPK/S as well as 2 extra magazines and a good size silencer. I could even fit another PPK/S in here if I removed the 2 mags and silencer. I would recommend this to anyone with a small size firearm that they wish to transport in something that is durable, well made, light, and easy to transport. It also meets TSA requirements for those who were wondering. I use this thing for everywhere I go to transport my firearm until I can get my conceal carry license.

I was looking for something a little more sturdy than your typical Plano cases for air travel and stumbled across this brilliant little flat case from Pelican. A little time invested sculpting the pick & pluck (or is it pluck & pick) foam, and I've got a custom case that fits my LC9 and backup P3AT, with spare magazines, in a tight little case that feels barely wider than the contents. With what they charge for checked luggage these days, saving a little space is a big deal.
