Was painless to install and just worked
I expected everything to go wrong when I installed this, but no, amazingly it just worked.Pros1. Didn't have to drill any holes in a door (like a previous one I had to return)2. Amazon echo gen 4 immediately worked after putting both in pairing mode3. Buttons light up4. Has smart rekey feature so I now use my existing house key which is the same as my doorknob (honestly didn't know that was a feature)5. Already had a Kwikset deadbolt in, the internals looked identical to this one, meaning if you already have a Kwikset you know this deadbolt is going to fit identically6. I think this lock was 1 1/8" on outside part of door, fit between my screendoor knob just fine (only 1/8" deeper than normal deadbolt)Cons1. Servo motor is almost as loud as a blender, thats every time I put in a code or unlock it with anything other than a key2. Of the 6 times I have asked alexa if my door was locked one of the times she responded with "the lock is not responding"3. Looks more gold than brass to me, but i was expecting it to, looks like it does in picturesHave had smartlock for 2 hours now, will update if something bad happens, no update means nothing worth mentioning.

Works well with Home Assistant
We have two of these now. I put one on the side door of the house, and two months later my wife asked me to put one on the front door too.I had no problems adding the lock to the ZHA integration, and it works reliably. Battery life is good - I'm using rechargeable AA batteries, and they are good for about three months before I need to swap them out.Unfortunately, you can't add new codes remotely. I believe you can in the WiFi version through the app, but there is no app for the Zigbee version.

Didn't work out of the box
The connection between the front assembly and the real assembly has no mechanism to lock it in place which means after a few turns of the lock (which is the point of the product) it shakes loose and you can no longer unlock your door with the keypad, which doesn't even light up at that point.Do not purchase, everything about it is cheaply constructed.

A quality lock
I'm still debating a 4 star vs 5 star review on this. It looks nice and has all of the compatibility I wanted so that I can lock and unlock several ways:KeyKeypadAlexaPhoneMy one hesitation is around the keypad. It's seems to smudge up a little which makes me wonder does it tip my code to others. Also it took me a little while to get used to the gesture to activate the keypad. Feels a little annoying. That said, all it's functionality is great. It's not a concern for me, but will mention you must set codes manually through the lock. There is no app to set codes.

Noisy, fiddly to engage
Got this to replace a smonet lock that was unreliable garbage. So far this is better. It doesn't have fancy features or an app etc but what it does do, it does well.Settings are controlled by tiny switches in the back. There's no finger print sense. No key fob. No Wi-Fi. You need a separate gateway to link it to Alexa. It was very easy to fit as it just fits in standard door lock spaces. In operation the only real downside is it's noisy. It sounds like something being tortured.I also wish they had a cover offer the manual keyhole as I think that detracts from the appearance.Time will tell if it lasts.UPDATE JAN24: It's no longer reliable. It will sometimes only allow a single keypress then will freeze. You have to then wait for it to timeout to try again. It has fresh batteries so no idea why it's started doing this. The alignment of the latch into the plate is also quite finnicky. There is not much room for misalignment.

Love it!
Amazing! Only thing bad is the servo motor is very loud! But it's a nice to hear it locking and unlocking. So no complaints ....

Don't get it
Update: 3 months later the touchscreen died.Overpriced for what it can do, just get the 902 instead, both are zigbee and zwave and $100 cheaper. This is not Alexa compatible, you need a hub as an intermediate channel to connect to alexa or Google home so be aware of that.
