Must have for stone users *by B***F on January 4, 2025* I've used varieties of whet stones and have at least a half dozen. Something that I've always struggled with was securing the stone on a counter or table top. I've always used a wet washcloth. Yeah, it kind of worked, but I never really knew about these kinds of stone holders until watching some sharpening videos. This unit is very quickly adustable to practically any size that most of us will ever run into. It firmly grasps the stone. I have one stone that I was concerned might not work, since it's a relatively thin double sided diamond stone--about 1/4" thick. The holder still holds this stone properly without getting in the way of the blade during sharpening. If you use stones and haven't found a good holding system, this unit won't break the bank and you'll wonder how you ever went without it.
