Gave them a try. Not my thing, but not bad.
I was skeptical at first but these crickets were not bad. The seasoning is flavorful with a hint of spice that’s not overwhelming. The texture was lighter and crunchier than I expected so it is more like a chip and makes them easier to eat. I wouldn’t snack on them regularly but they’re a fun and unique treat to share (if you know people you can convince to eat them!).

Taste good but a bit pricey
This was actually good, it's somewhat difficult to describe the texture but it's somewhere between a wheat cracker or a chip. I thought I would have had some hesitancy over eating this, but it was only the body making it very easy to eat whole. So no head, legs, and antennas. The favor is really good, it's well seasoned and with a hint of citrus. It doesn't taste like I just took a bite out of a bug at all (although I don't have any experience with eating bugs that I'm aware of). Very easy to consume, would recommend for humans and not chickens (unless if you want your chickens to have high sodium levels). So I like it, but it's a bit too dusty and I wish there were bigger packs considering the price.

That was different!
I've always been a moderately picky eater. But as I've gotten older, I've tried to eat things that I don't think I'd like. Sometimes I'm surprised and I really DO like it. Asparagus, for example. When I came across these crickets, my first thought was that they could not possibly be anything but disgusting. So I ordered them. 😂I had a chaser all prepared just in case they lived up to my first thought. Well, surprise! They were not disgusting. They are very light and crispy and if they didn't have the spicy powder on the outside, I don't think they would have much flavor at all. They aren't spicy hot, though. This is a very small packet, not unlike the size you might get for a snack on an airplane.I didn't like them well enough to buy them again for myself, but they would be a fun gift or an interesting party snack!

Tom Yum Flavored Crickets
I got these for my husband who is all in on the consumption of bugs. He's been known to say "I'd like to try fried cicadas they're the shrimp of the land!" Since these are just the bodies without the legs or heads I was willing to give them a go too. I love tom yum flavor so these weren't bad. They have a hint of spice but not too much and honestly it was like eating a chip. They're kind of pricey at $12 for a small bag so we're probably only going to get them again for a special occasion kind of treat.

Oddly good
I tried these with a group of people to get a wide variety of opinions. It was shocking but most people found them good. One said it was a little spicy but the general understanding was that the crickets were well seasoned and actually tasted pretty good. There were no problems with the texture which was shocking because that was what I was expecting.

Gritty, okay tasting, but the texture is rough
These are great for a bit of a shock to others. Kids are super interested/grossed out by eating these. The flavor is fine, reminds me a bit like chips. The texture is like unrefined tortilla masa. These aren't exactly a snack food, but good for a fun time.

An Interesting snack option
We got these just to try and they didn't disappoint. Tastes like Thai flavoring and are a good source of protein. If you like crickets, try these!
