Video quality not as good as others - but it is OK - Love the record function
Two of my buddies bought cameras at the same time, all of us spent the same amount of money. I got this camera because it has a record function, theirs do not. The cameras all had the same light ratings, etc.The Lucky brand system had the best quality in terms of the plastic housing. The Lucky brand records and the recorded video and picture is pretty good. That's where the good news ends.Picture quality is not very good, side-by-side test the Lucky camera makes the water look murky and you can barely see your lure. With the competitors product we could see even the small dimples in my freinds lure (this is side by side, same day, same ice hole).Light sensitivity is terrible, even on bright sunny days the color is muted and washed out.The display itelf does NOT allow contrast, color or brightness to be adjusted. It is fixed, so you are out of luck if you don't like the way the factory set it.Very disappointed in this purchase.

Easy AWESOME Camera
Setup was a breeze. Water currents sometimes shifted camera position just when you wanted to see it most! D'OH!You could use a suction cup mount (has brass threaded ferrule) to hold secure. See video. This was ice fishing late afternoon into evening. Great clarity. TONS of storage on the card but you don't have to record. You could just run the screen to have a fish eye view of the action.Battery held up for hours. Brought a 20K mAh battery pack along just in case. Didn't need it.I used a free online video compression ap or else the file was 18mb.Great value.

Great small-size underwanter camera
Pro's:This underwater camera is a pretty well designed unit, and its small portable size is perfect for fishing excursions and for ice fishing in particular. I have tried it twice with my ice fishing on a lake north of Toronto, Canada. The water depth is around 50 feet where I used the camera (this camera comes with a 60-feet cable, by the way).My first try wasn't too successful, partly due to my inexperience in using the camera as it was my very first time ever handling an underwater camera. I then contacted someone with the company which sells this camera, and got almost everything sorted out/well explained. Then came my second try at the same water depth and on the same lake. The camera "performed" much better this time, and I was pretty happy. I could see fish (lake whitefish around 5lb each) at/close to bottom of the water, and I could even see my small-size jighead with soft-plastic bait. There was one issue I did manage to "resolve" with some simple DIY if you will. That is, as there is no out-of-box mechanism to turn/adjust the camera's lens angle, a metal coat hanger was used to wrap around the camera's cable at the ice hole so as to easily tweak/turn (by rotating the hanger) the lens' angle under the water as obviously I need to have the lens facing my bait/lure!There are four LED lights surrounding the lens. The first time I tried the camera I neglected to turn on these lights, and as such I had hard time seeing what was under the water. However as soon as they were turned on with my second try, I was kind of "thrilled" seeing my bait and fish on the monitor! This camera also has recording functionality on a MicroSD card, with a 16GB card included. All in all and for what I am doing with such an underwater camera (such as for ice fishing) I am pretty happy with this camera at its price point.con's (or improvement desired):* The monitor screen size at 4.3 inch is a bit small, though I fully understand a bigger screen demands more money!-)* It would be nice if the lens' angle could be relatively easily adjusted (though I wouldn't expect too much at the camera's current selling price:-)

Wow wow wow
I've had this camera since December and I couldn't be happier. I can't believe the clarity of this camera in the river. I have family who have $700 cameras and mines clearer. Am I happy with this? ABSOLUTELY YES YES YES
