Good game to pick up and pass time
Personal Experience: My coworkers and I typically play this game over lunch so I purchased it to play with my family. The game is relatively easy to learn, I would suggest just sitting down for 15 minutes and reading the rules before you play. The first few games you play are going to take some time just to get the gameplay down but afterwards it is a quick game. Recommend: Yes Pros: You can be up and playing within 15 minutes You can play multiple game quickly after you understand the rules Good fun for a wide variety of skill levels Cons: Nuances of the game can be confusing if you don'e read the rules carefully

This is a quick, fun, and cut throat game. I've played it many times and has to buy a copy for myself.

Much better than most tv themed games
Normally I loathe popular tv show and movie games, because those kind of games almost always disappoint. This game, however, is quite the exception! It's super easy to learn and play, yet it is packed with strategy. Varys is being his typical self trying to coerce people to his side. Gain the most people in Kings Landing of a house and you gain that banner. If you collect the last member of a house, you get to choose a companion. Companions can be a real game changer. Jaqen H'ghar is a bit overpowered in my opinion, but keeping with the theme of the game it makes sense. If you love Game of Thrones and you like playing board games or card games, you'll be reaching to play this game often.

Easy, Fast Paced Card Game That is Great for Fans of the Show or the Books; Best With Three to Four People
Fast paced and fun, though the game is at its best when you have three or four players. You set out the entire deck of large character cards face up in a six by six grid. Players go one at a time and move the Varys card along the grid (either up, down, left, or right) and claim any character they want in the direction they choose. If you pick a character of a certain house and Varys moves over other members of that same house on his way to your target, you collect those House members as well. The game ends when Varys can no longer move along the grid. The player who controls the most Houses wins; in the event that multiple players have members of the same House the person who has the most members of said House wins their banner. The game gets more interesting and deep with the deck of smaller companion cards (you reveal only six of these at any given time). When a player removes the final member of a House from the main grid, regardless of whether or not they control the most members of that House, they gain and immediately play a companion card that can mix up the gameplay in numerous ways. For a small card game this is a blast to play. As I said, it is best with three or four people. With only two players the game goes a bit too quickly and it isn't as complex. With three to four you can scheme a bit more with others to screw over whoever is in the lead or even play a two vs two team mode. The artwork is cartoonish but great and the cast of characters reflects both the books and the show. All in all a fun, breezy card game for fans.

Best Game of Thrones game there is. You HAVE to buy it!
This is the funnest Game of Thrones game I have played! It is very easy to learn and you don’t have to be a GOT enthusiast to play. I bought it after playing with a few friends of mine. Then my sister ended up buying it after I got her hooked! Definitely a game to purchase. Everyone will enjoy it!

Simple and fun
An amazing and simple game to learn and experience. Our group of 4 plays this during every game night as a starter game to get the night going. The game is easy to set up and quick 10-15 minutes play time and funny art work on the playing cards.

Fun Game, Whether Your a GOT Fan or Not
This is a fun, fast-moving game for 2-4 people. Not too complicated to get in the way of conversation, but not so easy that it doesn't make you think. Gameplay takes from 5 to 10 minutes, so you can play multiple rounds.

Quick, fun and easy with high replayability
I love the illustrations on the cards, cartoony but still true to the characters in GoT. In the first play through we didn't think there was much to this game, move one card (Varys) across a 6x6 grid of face up characters cards and collect members from a house to gain their House Banner, 7 Banners to collect, whoever holds the most Banners at the end of the game wins. The game ends when Varys cannot be moved legally (he can only move in straight lines) or if the play area ("Kings Landing") runs out of cards. Seems simple enough right? Upon our 2nd run through we noticed the strategy behind the game, basically thinking multiple moves ahead to make sure you hold onto your banners rather than have an opponent steal them from you. There are also Companion Cards which add another dynamic. 6 Companion Cards are dealt face up at the start of the game, when you take the last character of a house from Kings Landing you can choose a Companion who all have different effects. The Hound for instance allows you to kill any character in Kings Landing, so if you hold the Stark Banner with 4 out of the 8 Stark character cards and your opponent has 3 Starks you could kill the last character so they can't take it and more importantly your banner (if you and an opponent have the same amount of characters from the same house, whoever took the last character gains the banner). Hand of the King can be played over and over again as the grid is always random. I would say this game would be suitable for anyone aged 8 and up as it isn't overly complicated (like a lot of Fantasy Flight's games) and is a lot of fun.
