Great Non Fashion-Statement Footwear!
I have to admit that initially I was not expecting much when I got these 7 months ago. I am a 9.5 in sneakers and a 10 in boots, and typically go for wide widths too because my pinky toes seem more sensitive to me than other people I know. I'm overweight but walk a lot, and can easily walk 5 to 10 miles. These shoes surprised me. They seemed tight the first few wearings, and I would wear them most of a day and then go to a different show and then back to these a few times and the insole began to conform to my feet. At first they felt odd on my arches, as if it was overbuilt, but it began to conform and suddenly became quite comfortable. What I like most is their breathability and ease of on and off. They are not the best looking footwear, and it's a shame because I would have no trouble wearing them to more dressy situations if I could. I added these pics to show how they look. The elastic front initially looked weird to me but now I like it and it's a good quality elastic. It's not a problem to my metatarsals. I can put these on and off by hand, and prefer a shoe horn, but it's not difficult to slip them on with just your finger. The other thing that shocked me was their stability. I never thought that a non laced shoe would give me support and ankle stability, because I do tend to turn my ankles a lot, but not in these! It's now 7 months later and while there seems to be plenty of life left in them, I ordered a second pair, because I've found that stuff I like tends to vanish from the market and I get frustrated trying to find a suitable replacement, so I like having a backup. These are also better than I expected for a quick sprint in the rain too, and will dry out quickly due to the breathable panels. These are also no seams inside that usually hurt me, and the heel counter is still firm and their price point is not unreasonable at all.So in summary they are well made, comfortable, stable, supportive, breathable, easy on and off and affordable.

Elastic on top makes these a failed interpretation of the classic Jungle Moc.
Husband LOVES Merrell Jungle Mocs and has been through many pairs over the past decade. We thought these would be a great, breathable version of the Moc perfect for travel (quick on & off at the airport security line!).Not so.Sadly these fit more narrowly and are also FAR more difficult to slide on. One of the great things about the classic Jungle Moc is how easy they are to get into; unfortunately, these have an elastic gorring on the top of the instep that make it very hard to get these on without getting both hands involved. Some may thing that's negligible, but be forewarned if you're expecting to slide in and out of these as easily as the classic Mocs you will be disappointed. We returned them. Thanks for the great return policy Amazon!

Solid shoe, tighter fit than normal Jungle Mocs
Like all the Merrell Jungle Mocs, these are well-made and durable shoes. Unfortunately, Merrell chose to make these Ventilator model shoes on a different last than the standard Jungle Mocs...these are narrower, slightly straighter from heel to toe, and not as deep in the forefoot so the net result is a smaller, tighter fit. I wear an 11D in the normal Jungle Mocs and the same size in the Ventilator model is tight enough to be distinctly uncomfortable after a couple hours...not sure I'll even be able to wear these enough to break them in and see if they stretch out. Merrell, if you're listening, please make sure you build your shoes on the same last, to the same dimensions for each size/width!

Great shoe...
Shoes are the hardest thing in the world for me to like. Usually they don't fit or wear out so they look nothing like they did when they were new.I bought these Merrell shoes because I previously had a pair of sandals and I completely worn them down to the ground. The shoes turned out to be perhaps the most comfortable I've ever worn and these mocs are doing the same. The shoe fits to size and they look good whether I am wearing them with jeans or shorts. Don't know if I'd venture out with them in the winter, but for the summer, I'm almost given up on wearing sandals and am wearing these exclusively. Like my other Merrell shoes, these are conforming to my feet and getting more comfortable as I wear them. I strongly recommend them.

Great shoe
This is my second pair of Merrell shoes and I love them. This shoe is very comfortable, breathes well, and looks good for a casual shoe. I've only been wearing it inside thus far, so I can't comment yet on the quality of the tread. In other brands I'm about a 10W or 10.5W, but with Merrell shoes I've gone up to an 11 in order to get a good fit, but I'm completely happy with the fit now - my toes have plenty of room to wiggle but the feet as a whole are snug. I pulled this pair out of the box, slipped them on, and it fit perfectly. I will also say that I love the slip-on shoe design and have never had any issues with either of my Merrells falling off accidentally. I will be buying Merrell for as many of my future shoes as possible, they seem to be very good quality designs and craftsmanship.

Just what I was looking for
I live in a fairly rural, mountain area and daily dog-walks are more along the lines of light-hiking. I wanted something easy to put on and take off which was comfortable, but could holdup to walking through leaves, jumping over logs, and the occasional muddy patch. As it's summer, I wanted something cool so my feet wouldn't sweat to death. These shoes do all of that to my great satisfaction. The MSRP on these was much higher, so I waited for a sale. For the price I paid, I think these are great value. If I paid full price, I'd still be happy, but the value per-dollar would be appreciably less. As I look toward the oncoming fall and winter, I'll definitely consider buying the cooler weather version of these when the time comes.

Not quite as comfortable as expected.
Ordered a pair my usual size and my toes were touching the end. So I exchanged them for a half size larger. Now a more comfortable fit, but I do have to wear thickish socks to prevent the ankle part from slipping off. They are not as comfortable as I had hoped and I have to tread carefully in case the ankle comes loose. So in conclusion, they are OK, but not my favorite.
