Paper Girls Volume 2 (Paper Girls, 2)

If you’re about to start or have started this series, I’m thrilled for you. This was a great journey. I read all six books in one shot, hooked from the first issue and plowed through to the last. There are so many twists and turns along the way, so many amazing moments. Brian K. Vaughn and crew have created characters that are easy to fall in love with, and you’ll want to be with them every step of their crazy journey. The artwork is beautiful throughout, really fitting in with the story. These books rightfully won as many awards as they did. Paper Gurls is of the highest quality in story telling.

I'm getting the multi volume set. I like this as a graphic novel. Its been a while since e I read a graphic novel.

I feel so stupid for not having discovered this series sooner. The plot/action is perfectly paced for maximum reader engagement. The character development is also well balanced. The authors have taken care not to dump too much information or data onto the reader at any one time They use the Stephen King Storytelling Theory: the reader is only told what they need to know, and only when they need to know it. Thus the pages literally turn by themselves.Now it’s onwards to Volume 3!

The mystery keeps unraveling. I’m not sure how much I’m enjoying it yet. It’s hard for me not to compare it to Saga. Saga has the perfect pacing, whereas this has some lulls, especially when we’re in “old timer” panels. I’m not in love with the way the Old Timer foot soldiers talk in broken English. It slows down the action. But overall it’s still decent. Art is good.

I started watching the show so I also wanted to try these and they didn’t disappoint! My favorite part is the alien writing you see randomly. You have to look up the key for it and you can decipher the writing to learn about the other people. Love this series!! Highly recommend

Really liked this whole set. Great grafics and the plot was interesting enough to want to reread soon after I finished each book. Great take on a time traveling sci-fi theme.

"Look how many buttons future remotes have!"This is volume 2, it picks up right where volume 1 left off.It raises the stakes (especially for two of the characters), explains some things and raises more questions about others, and advances the story. It's looking very much like Time Bandits mixed with Stand By Me where the characters travel through time but don't always know exactly when they're going. The characters are interesting, and their friendship develops.I'm on board for this, and looking forward to volume three.

The plot thickens and so does my interest. This next installment answered two or three questions while raising 10 to 15 more. I’m excited to see where it goes from here. But if you’re looking for a hair-raising crazy futuristic retro mess of a story that pulls you in hard here ya go.

The bad thing is that i read it in likean hour, the good thing 8s that i immediatly bought the next three issues

Havia lido alguns reviews que indicavam que esse segundo volume não era tão bom quanto o primeiro e que a série caía de qualidade aqui. Porém, não é nada disso que acontece! Paper Girls continua com o mesmo feeling de Back to the Future misturado com Stranger Things que tanto cativa. Eu ia esperar pra comprar o terceiro, mas acho que comprarei logo de uma vez. Uma pena que terei que esperar um tempo até o quarto volume ser lançado! Recomendo demais!

I definitely liked it better than the first book. Marked improvement. Gonna buy the third one now.
