Not for small goldfish
Fed this to the fish in my tank, thinking that the granules might be a little big for a fish's small stomach. I was right, because 15 minutes later I noticed my smallest goldfish swimming on his side and looking very sick. I'm not going to feed them for a few days now or at least until he's looking better. Hopefully he won't die on me.Edit: My smallest goldfish is dead. He never recovered from eating these granules. They are too big for small goldfish.

Fix air bladder problems in fancy goldfish.
I switched from flakes to these with the hopes that my fish would take in less air when gulping these down. It worked! Two of my goldfish had air bladder problems due to the flake type food, and kept floating to the top of the tank like buoys, and they almost died. After a few weeks of eating these, the air bladder problems have been cured...although the fish gobble these up before they can sink. The size of each pellet is small, about a 2mm ball, small enough for those 19 cent small feeder goldfish.

He's finally swimming right side up! (But the tank gets dirty faster)
Our new fancy fantail goldfish was spending more than 50% of his time swimming inverted. Turns out he has a swim bladder problem. Our local pet store only had floating food so I searched Amazon for sinking food with good reviews and settled on this one. It took about a week on the new food, but he's been swimming right side up 100% of the time for over a month now! It works, looks like he's not going to die, so that's awesome! But I do have to unfortunately remove 1 star because the tank gets dirty SO much faster with this food than with the other foods we've always used. BUT... the fish is alive, a dirtier tank is the trade off. Just keep swimming!

Terrible! Updated Review.
1 fish liked it, other fish did not. Eventually the other fish came around as I started to give it over time. Now they both eat it. It’s good for us, we have goldfish and the pellets eventually sink, and because goldfish love to scrounge around it keeps them busy. Really don’t need a lot so your getting good value for the money.UpDATE: lowered to 1 star. This food is giving our fish parasites. I never have this problem with the fish food from Tetra. I was hesitant to blame this food. When these worm like things first appeared it was a month or so after buying this food so I thought, well maybe they always had them. Got them that medicine and it cured them. Did water changes for two weeks straight every other day . stopped using this food and went back to giving them flake mixed with real parsley and cilantro.Well friends, my friend while I was away, gave the fish this food instead of the flake. And low and behold the tank has flukes or some weird parasite in it. Clear, stringy worm like things again. Almost positive it’s flukes. Not sure how.. but it’s in there. Buyer Beware. Pay the money, get good quality! Do not buy! You’ve been warned!

Bought because of good reviews. Run!
I raised my fish on floating food of very high quality. Bought this because of all the bragging reviews. Big mistake, my fish no longer come to the top, they are winterizing indoors in a Whiskey barrel liner. If they don’t hit on this food before it sinks. it rots on the bottom. Which is real obvious on a black background. You won’t see it rotting in an aquarium with a rocky bottom! The water became cloudy and the fish listless. It happens so slow you don’t realize it! Saved my fish, going back to the best. Your fish are what you feed them. Get the best! I want to see my fish when they are returned to their summer pond. I was asked how this tastes! I don’t know, I don’t eat fish food. My fish sure love the other brand, and I love seeing them rise to the top of the water! It doesn’t partially float, it sinks FAST! If you don’t want to retrain your fish while they figure out you changed their food, skip this stuff! My fish were confused and don’t like it. Fish recognize their feeders! I did not like them looking sadly at me because I took what they love away. Yes! This is true! They were not happy with me!

Love the slow sinking. Fish eat it up. Smaller pellets the expected
My fish love these. I havent had any issues with it clouding the water (unless the kids poured way to much without telling me lol. Not the foods fault xD) ... they are quite small pellets. But I oldest goldfish is about 9 inches long, and he just eats them like I eat popcorn. ... the other 2 as well. The are 3-5 inches each. But they eat it up like crazy. They learned to go to the top for food because I used to feed most food floats. the sinking ones are better for them, but they dont seem to always find those before they desolve. So these slow sinking pellets I think makes it more obviously to the fish exactly were they fell.

My pond goldfish really love this!
I have 6 shubunkin goldfish in a 500 gallon pond. Their size ranges from 5-10 inches in length. In the past I have bought flaked food but saw these pellets and thought I would give them a shot hoping they would sink faster than flakes and not end up in the filter before the fish can eat them.I wasn't sure I would be able to tell if the fish liked them better than the flakes I was feeding them but I definitely can. They liked the previous food but they really go nuts for this stuff. It's not a big container so I would probably need 3 to get me thru the summer with my fish.As far as sinking, they do sink faster than flakes but they don't all go down at the same time. I have had no problems with the fish or with causing any water/algae changes. I am very happy with this food but wish it came in a larger container. Will have to look to see if I can find that

Container was filthy & covered in brownish goo!
Purchased this item on May 15, 2019. While I've always been pleased with this brand of goldfish food, I would definitely NOT use this vendor again! The fish food container arrived covered in some sort of sticky, brownish goo. I have no idea what it was, nor do I wish to. It was immediately tossed in the trash. How could someone actually sell something so filthy and nasty?

Best food! My fish Love this!
My goldfish have always had top quality expensive food, so when I ordered this food for them I didn't expect them to go nuts over it like they do! They normally eat quite calmly. There was an absolute feeding frenzy when I dropped these pellets in. They were jumping and thrashing about so much to get these pellets that they actually splashed water out of the tank in their excitement. Now, three weeks later, they STILL have this same feeding frenzy every time I drop these pellets in. Ordering these again!

Fish love this food, and your tank stays clean!!
The fish love these pellets. They fall at a slow speed allowing them to be eaten up for the most part before hitting the bottom. My tanks do not become nasty messes when feeding this food. Highly recommend this product, best pellet I've found for my Koi, and fancy goldfish.

Great product!
I purchased this product before from PetSmart. Im very happy with this fish food. Because the granules don't sink my aquarium water stays clean. I tried different brand for gold fish and in the first day my water turned cloudy and it was stinky.Right awayi purchased this brand again and I'm not going to buy anything else!

not sinking
The granules don't sink and my goldfish doesn't seem to like it. In the picture, I left the granules in the water for 10 minutes, just to show that none of the granules has sunk after 10 minutes.
