Are the tape dispensers all hooked together or can you separate each color on its own?

how easily does this remove to reposition - and does it come off easily? Does it leave sticky residue?

It is great to reposition and comes off easily without any residue.

Can you use this on Aida cloth?

What I do to mark my rows on Aida cloth is to take a contrasting sewing thread to both the fabric and the colors in the pattern. Then starting at the center I sew in long 10 row stitches. Your stitches will alternate. Once you have the center cross done, do them from the edges of your fabric. I find this extremely helpful now that my eyes are getting older and needing more magnification to do anything above 14 ct. You can also buy Aida cloth that has a wash out grid marked on the fabric. Just be careful to not wrap the marking thread with your floss when you're stitching. Happy stitching!
