Nature's Way Sambucus Immune Elderberry Lozenges* with Vitamin C, Echinacea, & Zinc, 30 Lozenges

This is a regular item in my home. It helps to prevent colds and shorten ones that sneak through. Both of my kids were in daycare three days a week beginning last fall semester. Let me tell you they were bringing home every cold they came in contact with and if that were not enough their little bodies somehow weaponized those germs into superbugs so that when it made it's way to mom and dad it had become this hybrid illness that knocked us out for days. After starting sambucus the number of colds we were getting have dropped significantly. We went from a virulent cold every week that lasted 4 or more days (yep, pretty much sick the whole first semester) to maybe a cold once a month for a day or two. As soon as I get that "getting a cold feeling" I take a sambucus - just one- every day for as long as I can feel that "feeling." Usually it never materializes or if I forget a day and I do get further symptoms, taking sambucus definitely seems to shorten the duration. I give my 2 and 4 year old a sambucus once a week, unless they are showing symptoms, then they get one a day for about 3 days. I would not be with out it!Update: 8/18/18We still buy and use Sambucus regularly. I have Amazon auto-ship a bottle every month during the summer and I skip the months we don't need more, and then I increase my order to 2 bottles during the cold and flu season. I have recommended this product to so many people and will continue to do so.My kids are now entering third and first grade and I would not be without sambucus lozenges. We only get the ones without zinc since none of us enjoyed the flavor of the ones with the zinc and I'm still incredibly happy with the results!

These seem to work well, but are a different texture and size than the elderberry zinc lozenges I usually buy from this brand. They are more dry like a vitamin and less sticky.

The following are my preferences & not medical advice. I prefer natural products over antibiotics or prednisone, whenever possible. Granted, they have their place, but not always. At the beginning of symptoms, I take Nature's Way Sambucus as directed, followed by 1 Cold Eeze cough drop. This is my regimen every 4-5 hours. {It's also good to find "Emergen-C" Immune plus 1000mg Vitamin C plus Vitamin D & Zinc} The zinc gives an extra boost when sick, but, I drink this powder supplement every AM. I've been able to head off bouts of coughing & colds, so instead of a longer recovery in bed, I have found that catching sniffles early enough can help deter getting even sicker...and I used to get really sick. They say supplements aren't proven [yet] but as for me & my loved ones, we knock on wood & haven't been sick in many, many years. Take your outside icky shoes off & wash your hands each time you return home. Why? Just do it. You will be amazed how much better you''ll feel.

The media could not be loaded.  I am pretty confident that the purpose of these lozenges (to boost immunity) was accomplished. I used these daily in conjunction with another immunity boost/zinc type drink in order to try and stay healthy during travel. I remained healthy, so there's that. But man, these taste terrible!

I fully recommend these to everyone. My daughter just got done doing a year of chemo and these little lozenges made it so I could be in the hospital with her. I didn’t get sick all year. Anytime I’d start to cough or have a tickle in my throat I would take one of these and I’d be fine the next day. Great product!!! Cuts the flu in Half!

Don't know if it would have worked because the taste was soooo horrible, I spit it out pretty quickly.Did I get a bad batch or something, because I can't imagine this remaining on the market as is.Buy ANYTHING else but this!!!

Elderberry is great, but I don't think I'd buy this product again.The lozenges are uncoated, so I have a bottle of lozenges PLUS purple dust that stains my fingers.The ingredients list sweeteners but the product is so sour it's difficult to keep in your mouth.Unless I can't find a better choice, I will not be buying these again.

These are so good and help fight off colds when taken at the start. We rely on these lozenges in our house in the winter months!
