Works great with my retro champ!
Works great with my arcade retro champ! Has an adapter for a console not sure which console. The controller hooks right up wirelessly to my arcade retro champ with no problem. Just turn on the retro champ and then the controller and it hooks right up. The lights on the back of the retro champ will flash then become solid when connected. Great for multiplayer.

I got no strings, to hold me down (anyone? anyone?)
I was very fortunate in that I was able to get a NES Mini for my birthday. However, much to my dismay, after unwrapping the package, I discovered what many other NES Mini owners have been on about...short cables (hell of an oversight there, Nintendo). Most notably, the controller cable is incredulously short...I don't remember my original NES having such short controller cables, but back then, cordless phones were all the rage, so there's that.To get around this, I connected the mini using a 10 foot HDMI cable (I don't know why I have this) and an equally long power cable (ANY Micro-USB 2.0 cable will work...don't get suckered in by uselessly fancy titles and overpay for what is the equivalent of a non-Apple phone charger). But nobody likes having cables running from the display, across the floor, onto a table in front of you, just so you can use the packaged controller (which really does feel smaller than I remember). So naturally, I reached for my (wireless!) phone, and pulled up the My Arcade GamePad Classic - Wireless Controller!Ordered on Amazon, arrived on a Sunday (weird!), plugged them in (I ordered 2), and I was rockin' and rollin' without a hitch! The D-Pad is very nice and responsive; the squared A and B buttons were a little odd upon first impression, but they respond smoothly and quickly (important for Punch-Out...more on this later); the back of the controller has this deep(ish) groove in the back that isn't bothersome and makes gripping the controller easy; but notice that I have said nothing about the "Select" and "Start buttons. The center buttons (select and start) are located towards the top of the controller. While this may seem like a small shift, it unfortunately DOES result in a few missed opportunities in games where you may need to pause very quickly (The Legend of Zelda uses the "select" key to pause the game), or you may need to use a super punch (the "start" key in Punch-Out!) but the window of opportunity is but a few seconds, and you're frantically pressing your thumb where the "start" key USED to be (muscle memory can be useless here). This is a somewhat small gripe, but it's a gripe nonetheless (but not quite enough for me to take a full star). However, the wireless functionality is pretty amazing and you can use 2 controllers simultaneously without any hiccups. If you stop using the controller for a short period of time, the controller does disconnect from the receivers, but just remember to hit a button before you un-pause a game and you'll be fine (I don't get ppl who complain about this. Seriously...press a button and give it a second.)Overall, these controllers are pretty awesome, and at this pricepoint, they're hard to argue against (seriously, the $40 controllers are beyond ridiculous as far as price is concerned). I can't speak to battery life because I haven't had them that long and I don't play as long as I'd like, but go to the dollar store (or..uh...go to Amazon! yeah!) and get some triple A batteries and you'll be fine.TL;DR VersionPROS: Wireless; Responsive buttons; Wireless; D-Pad is accurate and comfortable; Wireless; Controller is comfortable in-hand; Wireless; Projected battery life is good (but unconfirmed as yet)CONS: Select and Start buttons are awkwardly placed, which leads to taking punishment in Punch-Out (I miss the "Mike Tyson's" part of that title);NOT-A-PRO-OR-CON: Controller can temporarily disconnect with lack of activity, but just press a button (other than the PAUSE) to restore the connection before you resume your game.

Does it Work? Yes It Does? Does it work Well? It has a slight moment...
Alright all you Gamers out there, this is an honest review of a product in which I seem to have. I wanna give the seller 5 Stars because they got nothing to do with the controller itself. So if you're wanting to know what kind of environment these controllers are in, the last wireless one got chucked across the room during a game of Tecmo Super Bowl, in which the loser was getting beaten embarrassingly 28-0 in the first quarter with 2:35 Left to go, so it got winged across the room during a fumble, and was NOT this brand. I bought this brand because it looked tough, meaty, durable, almost like you it could take a couple of rounds and still work. We have not beaten this controller mind you, we bought 3, 1 hanging on the wall if for instance one of them gets destroyed, however I'm pretty sure that these are going to make it through the day.The upside-It takes AAA rechargeable batteries and the battery hatches are perfectly placed.-The Buttons are really nice and feel like a classic NES Controller button and response wise.-The Home Button is in a great spot along with the start and select However.. Read The Downside Below...-It feels good in a big or small hand. Looks are deceiving, it looks like it could be uncomfortable for smaller hands but it is not.-Controller Input is amazing, It's very responsive within a 15-20 Foot Range, Outside may be variable depending on your environment. The Downside-It takes rechargeable batteries.. No USB Charing Port for them, nothing so you will need to use your battery charger.-The Start Select & Home Button are very small for larger fingers. Easily pushed and CAN lead to some mishaps(Accidentally backing out to the home screen, make sure you save early & often!). For normal Fingers they are still a bit awkward in size.-There is no 30 foot range on these things. Tried all 3 controllers with their adapters(which are not married by the way they will connect to whatever controller is turned on first), I get about 18-20, I have a lot of wifi devices around my NES Classic however, including a desktop and a few laptops at any given day, so that COULD possibly be the reason, otherwise the connection is solid within those ranges in certain areas of my place. Those slight engineering problems with the Select Home & Start Buttons are why I gotta give it only 4 stars because it was concerning once I started thinking of other games that do rely on pressing the select button (Some Role Playing Games), and how mad I would be if I got backed out of a game and accidentally deleted it after playing it a few hours. But with other designs, it's in a safer place for what we use it for (Tecmo Super Bowl) However during Punch Out! it became noticeable a few times when we were using the Uppercuts and when selecting plays using the Select Button that it was easy to hit the home button. Other than that if you're looking for a really good durable controller I have to recommend this one.
