High quality light bulbs that emit a bright, slightly cold, white light. Please note - not dimmable
These are a high quality set of 6 light bulbs, eminently suitable for replacing traditional 60w bulbs since they give off a bright, slightly cold feeling, pure white light. They are not dimmable, which may go some way to explaining the total lack of flicker that I've had with them (some of my dimmable ones have had to be returned because of their tendency to flicker, so these bulbs are perfect in that respect. They are best used in a shade, since they won't win any awards for innovative styling (they look jut like opaque versions of traditional bulbs, really, with a solid white base between the Edison screw fitting and the white plastic cap of the bulb). Put them into a nice shade, though, and they do a superb job of lighting up the room with lots of light being emitted - plenty bright enough to read by for the majority of people.I'd recommend these bulbs if you're looking for bright bulbs to replace old 60w versions - you'll save a ton of money, and the bulbs work excellently.

E27 LED Light Bulbs - screw cap - a worthwhile purchase
A nicely boxed set of 6 E27 LED light bulbs with Edison screw fittings. At 9w output (equivalent to 60w), these are ideal for table and standard lamps where the lighting is meant to be gentle rather than stark, covering a smaller area rather than an entire small room.In use, they do seem to be flicker-free, which is a huge advantage but purchasers should be aware that these are not dimmable bulbs, they are designed only give the same output throughout the lighting range.Although advertised as a warm white, the lighting is quite bright, almost stark. For areas that need a bright light, such as a desk or workbench, these will be ideal. But for general settings, some users might find them too stark and cold. However, it should also be remembered that if these bulbs are used in a lamp, a lot will depend on the type of shade that is used. A bright white fabric shade will emit a much brighter (harsher) light than a darker colour or a cheaper plastic, so it might be best to experiment and choose your lighting carefully since a bulb is not simply a bulb to produce light, it is affected by the kind of environment it is placed in.These are good quality bulbs that are estimated to last around 20,000 hours. Given the price of this pack of 6, that is pretty reasonable. All in all, I am pleased with the light they produce for both a work area and in a table lamp and so can recommend them.

Better than average cool white LED bulbs
The bulbs are a LED type (Light Emitting Diode) with a bulbous shape, the outer sphere is made of opaque thermo-plastic, with a white plastic coating at the base which will be exposed to view unless you use a shade. They have a bright metal, large Edison type screw. They screw into the light socket easily and firmly stay in place. These LED bulbs produce a distinctly white light giving a cool illumination. You may find it a slightly eerie type of light. Consuming 9 watts of electrical power they are said to be the equivalent of the old, now discontinued, 60 watts incandescent light bulbs. That seems about right, since the bulbs are neither intense nor dim, but something in-between. You wouldn’t expect much more for 60 watts equivalent. I found they produced light instantly the moment they were switched on and, just as the manufacturer claims, there is no delay, no warming up interval, before they reach full light intensity. I didn’t detect any flickering. The CRI value (Colour Rendering Index) of 80 is about the same as the general industry standard nowadays, and is regarded as being good. The higher the number the better the quality is, and the nearer it gets to 100 the more perfect is the colour quality at showing colours true to what they are in reality, and an index number of 90 is regarded as excellent and the highest ordinarily available. So, these bulbs at 80 are rated as good. The Kelvin Index (K) of 6500, which indicates the colour temperature, is quite high for domestic lighting and indicates a cool white light which is very close to daylight intensity. The beam angle of 220 degrees indicates the bulbs produce light at a fairly wide angle and are suitable for locating in places in the house where you want light to spread fairly widely and definitely not concentrated in a spotlight beam. The life span is slightly disappointing at 15,000 hours before anticipated failure. Some other manufacturers LED bulbs are claimed to last 30,000 hours, so these specific bulbs do have a potentially shorter life than one may expect. Nevertheless 15,000 hours would mean they will last for over 8 years if you have them on for 5 hours per day, every day of the year. The energy saving is enormous, and makes these LED bulbs an economically must-have.The bulbs appear to be well made and visually the manufacturing process cannot be faulted. They are remarkably light in weight. They come well packaged in an adequate, recyclable, all-cardboard box. I would rate these bulbs as better than average.

Very bright white light
I received these items as part of the Amazon vine programme and I have been testing them for 8 days. There are 6 bulbs in the box with an Edison (E27) screw fitting. The light output is brush, very bright and very white. We have tested them in wall lights in our sitting room, however, the effect is too stark and therefore we have moved them to the hall and landing, where there white light is easier to tolerate.I have awarded this item 5 stars on the basis of:Value for moneyEconomic to runLight output - they are bright and I would advise better in an office environment

Great quality, good light given off
I have been impressed with this set of bulbs. They fit in to any standard scew in light fixtures with ease, and they give off a nice bright light, even at 60w. The light is more of a "warm" white light as opposed to a sterile light so they are best suited to living rooms etc as opposed to garages / kitchens. The bulbs are solid and not made from a thin glass and so far they do not "blow" easy, even after a few power surges due to weather.Overall, very imprerssed and would certainly recommend them!
