Planting a Rainbow

I got this book for my 1 year old daughter, but my 3 and 5 year old sons also loved it. We love to garden and grow flowers. The colors in this book are so beautiful.

Purchased for a 4 year old girl who loves flowers. Great for Winter reading in anticipation of Spring and Summer flower gardening.

This Planting a Rainbow board book is a smaller and sturdier version of the popular story by Lois Ehlert. It is perfect for tinier hands to hold yet still has all the charm of the original. The colors are gorgeous and very much able to encourage young ones to want to grow plants on their own someday. This is a beautiful first book.

this will be a gift for my grandson when he turns one this august. with it, he will receive some bulbs and a bulb planter that i suspect his father (my son) will use to "help" plant the bulbs in their new backyard. i wanted to give the gift of nature and earth and dirt and memory, and this book does all of that. it is beautiful and just the colors alone would make for a great book to enjoy over and over. but the book is informative enough to entice everyone into wanting to plant seeds and bulbs and then wait for the colors to grow. each year i will give a few more bulbs at his birthday so he can plant more flowers and then wait through our long winter to watch for the blooms to appear. this is the perfect book!

A great gift for young children of parents who love to garden! The whole family enjoyed it!

Book is great! Beautiful colors, great learning opportunities, engaging! I used it for homeschooling my 4 year old. Shipping was a mess. Whoever packed it folded the book (paperback) in half in the mailer. It's all bent. What a bummer.

Young ones will learn all the vivid colors. As they grow, they (and maybe you) will learn the names of all the beautiful blooms! A gorgeous board book! Great for spring. Ages 1-7

Well made little board book with beautiful illustrations. Good word to image ratio to hold a two year olds attention while reading, but interesting enough for my 4 year old to still be interested. We read it over and over and over!
