Cold SteelTalwar S35VN Steel Ultra-Sharp Blade G10 Handle Everyday Carry Tactical Pocket Folding Knife with Tri-Ad Locking Mechanism

I’ve been wanting the 4” for awhile. While tracking it on Amazon , it was weirdly more expensive than the XL. Recently however , it popped down to $125 and I got it. The handle is very comfortable , but with 2XL size hands , my hand just fits. In fact with the curve in the handle , my fingers feel snugly nestled, similar to holding the Spartan.The blade came razor sharp , and the action is perfect. One big surprise was how instantly pocketable it is. Didn’t have to loosen the clip , or sand down an overly rough grip texture. One tiny complaint might be the edges of the lock bar are a tad sharp, more hotspot than anything , it doesn’t come into play under normal use. I think just as I was oiling the knife I could feel it.

Excellent knife in all aspects of build , steel , ergonomics , and value .Superb self defense folder , but also useful for most EDC tasks .Wave opener is very fast and reliable if practiced .

No complaints quality wise. G10 isn't aggressive enough to destroy your pickets. Blade is beautiful. Edge grind is even. Is centered when closed with a solid lock up. I didn't realize how big a 51/2 inch blade knife is. Should have known from my 4 inch Spyderco Military how big it would be. It is ginormous. I mean, if you would drop this in the woods and a Sasquatch would find it...he/she would be surprised to find a knife that fits its hand. Really it is Sasquatch sized. Closed it is very big too. Will only fit in certain pockets. No complaints with the knife. The quality is very good. I have like 80 some folders to compare to. Spyderco, Benchmade, Kizer, Civivi, and others. Is nice but also humongous. This would be one of my favorite folders if it was a 4 inch blade. But unfortunately due to its size it will rarely, if ever, be used.

Big, nasty sharp. Snap cuts fast. Handle is just right and allows easy manipulation to change grip or stabbing and slashing.

My large Talwar had a sticking lock, especially if you flipped open hard. I loved the looks of knife, but lock was problem.

So I knew this was going to be a large blade. But it really does not feel like a large blade. If you have a normal pockets, it sits in there so well and it's not heavy. I forget it's on there. I have smaller knives that are heavier than this.

Perfect length for EDC, high-quality S35VN blade, comes in handy regardless of whether you plan to cut ropes, boxes or burgers / steaks.
