I purchased this book for my finance class and it is a fantastic book. It is very detailed in the different aspects in the area of the topics covered. I found it to be very helpful. Lastly, this book was required for my course, but I would have purchased it anyway! Good book for anyone needing detailed information on the subject of finance. It covers all types of ratio analysis, present and future values, interest rate creation, discounts and so forth.

Well, if you have to buy/rent a textbook for a grad school class, it's hard to leave an objective review. Does this teach corporate finance? Yes. Does that mean it's a fun and fabulous book to read when you're trying to relax? No. In fact, I would say it stresses me out more than it helps most of the time. It assumes you understand basic concepts without delving into those concepts, and seems to gloss over certain parts, going straight to the end result formula. If I didn't have to rent this, I wouldn't have, but alas, I am forced to by the school.

Excellent text book. concepts are clearly explained and examples are from current companies and environment.
