Helpful for building a high performance team
The book uses a story to explain how dysfunctions in a team can impact even the high performers. In the second half, it summarizes the dysfunctions and shares actionables.Overall a good read and there is definitely a lot to take away from the book. One should revisit the book periodically to check if their team is on the right path.

great insight for any new leader
Written as a storyline, this book illustrates a very simple but difficult to implement idea. The content will help any leader to succeed in building a highly functional, cohesive, efficient team. I recommend this book to anyone who manages a team, large or small.

Easy, quick read
Easy, quick read. The team assessment in the back of the book was the most valuable piece for our organization and myself as a leader. My colleagues and I have been struggling with changes in leadership in the workplace. A dear friend recommended this book as a resource, so I went out and bought it that day. Patrick Lencioni does an outstanding job in this book of showing a team that's going through some typical, real-world sticking points, yet is able to maneuver through them successfully. By understanding and overcoming the five dysfunctions, any team can work together effectively. The part of the book that details the "five dysfunctions" is a great reference guide and also a topic that sounds eerily familiar as all seasoned managers have been down that road. The `five' are Absence of trust, Fear of conflict, Lack of commitment, Avoidance of accountability and Inattention to results. I recommend this book because I believe it will be a valuable addition to your bookshelf and certainly one that will be referenced again and again through the years.

A must read for team leaders or aspiring team leaders
The book is written like a story telling and then at the end the theory is presented.I consider it very well written, useful and with practical takeaways. This book helped me identify some of my pitfalls and I found some of my experience reflected there.
