This is a great clock for anyone who doesn't like lights shinning at night when you are sleeping. Just a light touch will turn on the digital time. Stays on for a short time. Just looks like a cube of wood during the day.

Problem Child.
Too bad. The concept is great. But it's more than difficult to set. All I needed was the time so I didn't pursue the rest. But it kept blinking, giving alerts. I tried replacing the batteries numerous times and in the end simply removed the cover so it would be quiet. I tried to work it out for months but will be returning it.

Best clock for people with sleep issues
Best clock for people with sleep issues. Why reach for your cell phone and get blasted with a harsh white light when all you need to do is tap the night stand to see the dimly lit (brightness is controlled by the time so it is less bright at night) time.

They are attractive and I love that they don't illuminate the room at night
I purchased two of these clocks. They are attractive and I love that they don't illuminate the room at night. But after just a few months, one of the power cords stopped working. If I wiggle the attachment, it comes on, but the connection doesn't last. Very disappointed given the price of this clock.

Lousy product
Got one for my wife's bedside table - and was using the power cord so I don't have to change batteries. The clock is ridiculously difficult to set -I won't even try to explain why, but it involves holding the set button down for 3 seconds and then, after doing that, pressing the set button repeatedly to get to the point where you can change the time. Moreover, the instructions say nothing about whether the light in upper left hand corner indicated pm or am when in 12hour mode. The clock is overly sensitive to movement, frustratingly difficult to set, and therefore not worth the $11.29 price. Don't buy it unless you're ready to spend more than an hour trying to set it.

Poor Quality

Waste of time and money
On the surface this clock looks pretty cool. However, in reality there were no instructions, and even when I found some online the clock doesnt seem work. The buttons just do not respond properly and it cant be reset, instead all it does is make screeching noises and the display garbles up and then it goesback to its default 12:00 time again, no matter what.

Cool clock
Absolutely brilliant little clock. Tells you the time when you touch or clap your hands once, then the display switches of. It's just look like a small cube of wood with a bright red display when activated. The alarm is just a beeping noise, it's not programmable for music, however it serves the purpose of getting me out of bed.

and the sound it makes is truly horrible (very effective though)
The buttons are really fiddly to manage, especially when you've just woken up, so it can be quite difficult to turn off, and the sound it makes is truly horrible (very effective though).Adjusting the time has to be done by one press per minute, which is very tedious, and there seems to be no way to check what settings you've chosen - you just have to wait and see if you've got it right, which I often haven't - so it's full of surprises. It looks rather tackier in real life than it does in the pictures. The read out is American, so instead of 12.01 (12th Jan) it says 1.12 - which can be confusing for English users.Apart from that it's fine, and very responsive to a gentle tap when you want to know the time.

Display won't work after 6 months
Bought the clock 6 months ago. Worked fine at first. Batteries ran out after 6 months. Changed the battery and since then the display has gone wonky and won't work. Got in touch with Gingko customer service and they said that they can't do anything. We need to contact Amazon!6 months for such an expensive clock to break down is crazy and then the manufacturer doesn't provide support. Never again....

Tardis like qualities
An ideal present for someone who likes gadgets and functions and technology, but with the added bonus that all the features are housed in a casing which doesn't look like it has come out of the Enterprise and will look at home in a more traditionally furnished setting. This is a really chic piece of kit and looks stylish to boot. It even comes in different woods to match your decor; definately designed by the long-suffering wife of a techno geek!
