Topo Designs Daypack Classic - Navy/Navy

I was in the market for a slimmer backpack since I'm a college student and didn't like all of the extra space that was in my JanSport backpack from high school. It is exactly what I was looking for and I was actually shocked to feel how high quality everything was; even the zippers are impressively smooth. I think I will have this backpack for a veryyyyyyy long time which is great!

We bought one in Boston on vacation because we needed another bag. It’s deceptive because it holds so much and yet it’s so comfortable. I haven’t used it for my laptop yet, so I can’t comment on that. The color is great and I can tell it’s quality made so it should last for years to come!

material is very durable, love the simple look. it’s my everyday carry.

I loved the exterior design and color of this backpack but it is not practical for carrying a laptop without additional protection. The laptop pocket is a very thin nylon material and lacks padding on the bottom. When I placed my laptop in the sleeve I could hear it hit the ground when I put the backpack down and could feel it sliding around because the interior pocket was so loose.I returned this product.

The bag is fine but definitely pricey. Compared to my cheaper everyday daypacks it really disapoints.

Laptop sleeve technically fit my 15" laptop, but I had to wiggle it into place. Very annoying to do 2-3 times a day. Thought this would stretch out after a few times so used it for a week. It did not. They rejected my return because there were a few minor discolorations on the inside of the backpack. Disappointed they don't stand behind their products if they don't perform as stated after a few weeks.

There used to be a lot of reviews on this bag so not sure if they reset it but it comes highly rated both previously on Amazon and on Topo's site. I was searching for the 'perfect' backpack for work and personal travel and spent WAY too much time looking. I read every top backpack list I could find and almost everyone had the Topo Huckleberry on it (not this model) primarily for its looks and also function but it didn't fit what I was looking for. Here is what I was looking for:1. Something stylish - not just another boring black tech backpack that I used for 15 years2. Versitle - I want to use this bag for every day work, personal travel and hopefully work travel3. Size - I didn't want a huge bag but I need it to fit my 16 inch MacBook Pro and my 12 inch iPad.4. Cost - Was trying to stay in the $75-125 range if possibleOnto my feedback. I love this bag. Super well made and exceeded my expectations from a look and craftsmanship perspective. The canvas fabric is thick, the zippers are strong, and the shoulder straps are well padded. I have the blue/red color combo and I get compliments on this bag which is something I can't say happens a lot....even my 16 year old said it was cool. Also, the water bottle holders on the side with the elastic expansion is such a cool design and works amazing for bottles of different sizes.On the previous reviews, I read a lot about the size of this bag and some complaining it was too small. Its 20L. If I had a magic wand I would design it to be 22L but I knew the 20L would be tight for a travel bag but its not a huge problem, I knew that going in so you can't knock Topo for that. Also, when doing my research it was very difficult to find information on sites/reviews about exactly what size a Mac would fit, everything was generic sizing....'fits most 15 inch laptops'. I read a million reviews trying to find feedback about whether a 16 inch Mac would fit in a bag ....again I didn't want a huge back like a 25-28L bag which many times you have to go to for the bigger laptops. For this Topo model, I am putting my 12 inch iPad Pro in the laptop sleeve (side entry) and my 16 Mac in the main compoartment which has an elastic section which holds it very well (back to back with my iPad so its safe). I am not sure if thats what its intended for but its working fine for me and its actually my preference.Here is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 in case this helps anyone. As I mentioned I put my iPad in the laptop sleeve. Topo says this sleeve fits 'most 15 inch laptops'. My iPad with a case on it which as I mentioned is 12 inches does not have a ton of room. I could see a 13 inch going in there but I do not see how a 15 inch laptop would fit in this sleeve, regardless of model. Sometimes my iPad is a little tricky to get in and out, the zipper has to be all the way down. My next complaint and biggest for this bag is the front pocket is amazingly deep and holds a ton of stuff. The main compartment is also great for holding items and like I said its a great size and working for even travel. However, I have never seen a 'laptop' bag not have ANY type of organization for items. There aren't any internal sleeves or dividers for you to put things so everything becomes a big pile of items. Wallet, keys, glasses, mouse, cables, etc. Just things you would normally have in a bag...there isn't anywhere to put them. Now this may not apply to you and if not, then great. But if you need organization in a bag, I purchased a separate pouch that I would keep all my loose items in so they are not floating around.Again, love this bag and would buy it again. Just still trying to work out the kinks to maximize the space.

Would have liked it to be a bit shorter as the top portion is usually unused but overall an excellent backpack and great value for money. Highly recommend
