Wham-O Hover Ball, Pink

Bought it for my 4 1/2 year old. It'd more controllable than a ball is. I don't quite understand the : "floats like magic" that is in the Amazon description. It's not on the packaging for product. It does say on package works best on carpet. I have hard surfaces in which the product has lots of stipulations.As usual, with the Hover and floating references I didn't pay attention to details like I should have. I thought it was going to be batteries operated and work like Air hockey pucks floating on fan generated air. All Wham-o products were like magic when I was growing up in the '60's. Expected the same magic. Anyway the bottom line is that it's safer in my house than kicking a ball. I would recommend it.

Bought this for my 5 year old child as a Christmas present - he had seen one his friend brought in for show and tell at school, and he was really excited to have one of his own. I was a little sceptical whether this would allow him to kick a "ball" around the house during the winter months without causing damage, but it was his choice.This ball is great for a while - it does exactly what it claims, it "hovers" or more accurately it glides - it works really well on carpet to kick around the house, but on hardwood it is not as smooth or easy to use. He did get bored of it after a few weeks, and he was able to launch it in the air a few times, so I am not super keen on it being used all the time in our house. It's a fun toy, but not sure it will be really enjoyed by older kids - I think it has a limited use for most families, and definitely better for toddlers or young kids.

This is amazing! It really does glide across the floor (glide - not hover as the name implies ;-) It is fairly small (it is a little less than half of an actual soccer ball), but still big enough to play with. DO NOT USE OUTSIDE!!!! The bottom is smooth plastic - which allows it to glide effortlessly across your floor. If you take it outside, the bottom will get scratched up! I would not glide on hardwood floors if you are worried about scratching them, but linoleum or tile is fine. Carpet is the best. I purchased one for my 11 year old son, then had to purchase this pink one for my 4 year old daughter! She was so upset he had one and she didn't!.

uhmmmm... I have to say I think it is a waste of money.. Am glad it was less than ten dollars.. My grandson wanted one of these so I got it.. He probably played with it for two days.. novelty wore off quick on this one. boring toy.. I had originally thought it could be used outside.. NOT.. will only work on carpet or tile floor... so there you have it.. it is now a dust collector...

Kids love these things. We have hard wood floors so they probably fly around a bit too much. I think it would work better on some carpet. I bought each of my kids one of these and also a friends kid. We have already had a lot of fun with these including the adults.

For Christmas, both of my kids got one. My daughters was pick and son's is green. They use them all the time and they really do work. They've bounced off my walls and furniture several times and left no damage. It's good for all ages too. My daughter is 4, my son is twelve and even my husband and I play with it. It's a pretty neat little toy.

I am not even sure that this is the actual "as seen on TV" hover ball from Wham-O because it arrived in a plain white box with a small sticker on it that said "Item: Hoverbmop." This is false advertising as I was hoping to receive the item as it was pictured. Nowhere did it say that it would not be sent in the original packaging. Unbelievable!

It does the trick but really works well only on carpet. WE still use it and great to keep the kiddos busy on a rainy afternoon. Seems to be good quality and has held up well. We actually had to buy 2 because the kids couldn't share.
