Q: what is the maximum wheel base for this carrier? we have Himiway cruisers at about 54" wheelbase. Will they fit on this carrier?

My ebike wheelbase is just shy of 48 inches and it fits.

Q: Why review says it doesn't fit?

Hello, the correct mounting direction would be from the side of weld-in nut to the other. We assume the customer reversed direction so result in failure. Please see the video for detailed info.

Q: How do you fold it up?

there is release lever on the base just before the bike holders that unlocks it so you can either lower for loading or fold up for storage
