worked great for repairing screens on popup
The stitching on the nylon on my old popup that sewed in the screens was coming apart. I used liquid stitch to hold the screen in between the two pieces of nylon where there used to be stiching. Because of the nature of the fix, I was only able to apply one application. It worked perfectly! I had tried superglue before I tried liquid stitch and it didn't work due to the nature of the screens, but liquid stitch worked great. The screens are firmly held in place and the strain from zipping and unzipping around the seems that were fixed didn't cause the seal to break. I can see how this product may be a little ugly on the outside of a seam because even though it is applied clear, it dried somewhat cloudy. The bottle & applique remind me of playing with rubber glue when I was kid, so it's not ideal for precision work. For what I needed it for, though, it was absolutely superb.

Effective stuff, much better than I expected.
I bought this to repair our leather couch, specifically two tears from our beloved Fido (real name of dog withheld to protect identity). To be honest, I bought this because it was inexpensive and might work without throwing fifty dollars at something else.It worked great! I am surprised how it held the tear together and looks pretty seemless. I am very happy with the results. The only drawback is that it leaves a mild shine to the spot. The stuff smells like rubber cement and you do not want to do this in a tiny enclosed space.Overall, I am very, very happy with the results. An excellent value for the price.

Perfectly Pleased
Anyone complaining about this item either has an incredibly large rip that they should have had professionally repaired, or they didn't understand what they were buying. This product is not a patch, and it will not magically sew your fabric back together. Essentially, it's like glue, similar to the "top coat" that you would put over your nail polish.I applied two coats to a few small rips in my leather couch caused by my cat. I applied the Liquid Stitch very thinly and evenly because I knew it would turn into a goopy mess if I just slathered it all over my couch. It worked great! The tears will not rip any further.Like I said, it's not a patch. So I'll need to take a little sharpie to one of the rips because you can see some of the stuffing where I applied the liquid stitch. No big deal!If you're looking for a cheap, quick solution to cover up a small rip or two, Liquid Stitch is for you. If you're a simpleton who can't apply glue with a small brush, you should probably leave your repairs to a professional.

Looks awful after a month and won’t come off
Applied to boat seat where stitching was pulling out at the seams. Thought it was the greatest thing ever for the first month. Went on clear, dried flexible, seemed to be working great but eventually turned a horrible dark red color within a couple months of sun exposure, then began to split and crack. It does adhere quite well as it pulled off chunks of the vinyl when I tried to remove it. Now I am stuck with seats that look worse than before and wish I’d never found this junk. Even acetone won’t dissolve it. In places where it’s not exposed to sun it’s a chalky white color but still cracked and brittle, not flexible. It’s really a shame since the seats are in good enough shape that they would go another season or two before looking bad were it not for this stuff turning red. Bought a loctite brand fabric glue at Lowe’s that works much better.

Not the best product
I purchased this last fall (in 2011) to stretch out the life of my vinyl swimspa covers. They had become cracked a bit (I maintain them as well as I can, but I think I made a mistake shoveling snow off of them a couple of years ago.....even though the shovel was "plastic.") Anyway, I painted all of the little cracks, gave them two coats at least...and that was it. Now this spring, when it warmed up enough, I was hosing my covers off (getting ready to do another clean/condition) and the "circles of product" started flying off. As I cleaned the covers and then conditioned them (I use 303 protectant) the product just came off. I really can't tell if the little cracks (there are a lot of them) are "healed" or open again. However, I got out my jar to put new coats on them...and the product was worthless. So stiff and gloppy as to be unusable. And I had it in my laundry room, closed up tight for the winter. Bummer. Now I will have to buy more..or find something different. To be fair, I have never used such a product before, and it is possible my expectations were too high.

If you don't expect a miracle, it's great
I'm not sure what people are expecting when they purchase this. It's clearly "liquid goo". You're not going to get something that's going to look like some type of fancy liquid leather that will dry completely invisible.I needed something to fix some tears and shredding in my couch (Pleather, I discovered after purchasing. Not leather.) I didn't want to apply patches and have it possibly get really messed up. I just wanted to stop the tearing from getting worse. This stuff is like really thick clear nail polish or varnish. It starts to dry REALLY quickly.Tips:1. Pour it into a little cup. Don't work directly with the container.2. Get a cheap paintbrush that you can toss. Dont' use the thick blob that is provided in the package.3. Work fast. This stuff is already thick, it gets even thicker as it starts to dry, leaving plasticky threads (you know, like when you pull a slice of pizza).4. Let it dry a few hours between coats. Between THIN coats, don't gob this stuff on.It basically looks like I applied clear nail polish to the tears. Does it look great? Nope. But it's not as obvious as a big non-matching patch and it definitely has stopped the tears from looking worse. So in a nutshell: it won't fix your problem, it won't make it disappear, but it'll stop it from getting worse and will do in a pinch until you can find a more long-term solution (in my case, getting a new couch). To add: it smells horrific, don't breathe it!

Good product but poor delivery
Good product and it seems to work well so far. The shipping was expensive, and did not get delivered on time even when I had to pay extra fees.
