Super cute and funny book
Penelope Rex is one of my 5 year old grandsons favorite characters. They still laugh every time i read them this book. Teaches important lessons about fitting in when different. Includes classmates from different religions, colors and ethnicities. We don’t eat our classmates is another Penelope Rex story that i also highly recommend.

Another Wonderful Story!!!
Such a lovely book! I am an English teacher for children and I often read books with them as a fun way to practice English and reading comprehension. They LOVE LOVE LOVE books from Ryan T. Higgins. I had to read this new story to a student today as soon as it was available on Kindle. The words are easy enough for beginners but engaging enough to keep them interested and engaged. My students love Penelope the dinosaur! The story about accepting who you are and not only seeing what is on the outside is very relevant to the world situation. You can explore the topic further if you want to extend the lesson or you can leave it as a fun story if you wish not to discuss the issue or they are too young to notice what has been happening. Please do not think this is a book that is in any way tries to address social issues, I only mention it for those parents who are looking to find a simple, kid-friendly way to explore the topic with their children.

Incredibly cute
This book is one of the cutest things I've ever read. I bought it for my 5 year old niece for her birthday, and found it absolutely delightful. The story, the art style, the writing, and Penelope herself are all impeccably crafted, especially considering it was created with such a young audience in mind. As a bonus, there's a faux record cover under the dust jacket, complete with a track list on the back. Those hidden details, obviously intended for the adults reading this to the kids in their lives, are why this has to be one my favorite picture books I've ever encountered.
