Decent Plant. Flowered as Expected.
This plant grew large during spring but it did NOT flower. It died in fall.HOWEVER...The following spring, TONS of baby seedlings automatically sprouted in the same location. I don't understand how. The plant had never flowered, so it couldn't have produced any seeds, and self-seeded. Perhaps the plant, hadn't truly died, and the roots were alive, but dormant? During that 2nd spring, the plant grew fast and finally flowered. (See photos).I was quite pleased!

Building a Butterfly Habitat
Bee Balm is a nectar producing plant that is sought after from pollinators (bees, bats, and butterflies). We want food, therefore we need pollinators to pollinate the crops. We need to ensure food is available to these pollinators even when crops are not in the blossom mode, otherwise they will starve off and die. Bee Balm will nurish them until we need them again. I would recommend to anyone who desires a beautiful yard, who does not have a green thumb (easy to grow, no special handling), or who are concerned about leaving our environment in as good of condition to our heirs as we receive to grow bee balm as a backdrop to other flowers. Bee Balm flowers for a long period, is leggy so it needs to be behind other flowers, either near a structure, or infront of a small tree, although it does need sun. Several bee balm plants together have a very faint sweet aroma when the breeze is right.

Give it Time.
I planted a pinch in a bunch of small pots. And sprayed them with water daily after the initial water. After the seedlings started to sprout I began to pour water in the tray that I had them in. So far it's been a few weeks and they are doing pretty good.

Love Bee Balm and it can easily reseed for next year.
Solid germination and started to sprout fairly quickly.

None of them germinated. My well-watered pots in the sunshine have no flowers.
Planted as instructed on the packet, but none of the seeds germinated. I only used one of the two seed packets, so perhaps I will get something out of the other one.

Very good but paper only
Two packs of bee balm. Very good. However package only paper, no internal foil or plastic wrap. So you need to protect packs from humidity.
