I used to buy Rishi’s matcha+sencha blend and I swear they started putting as little matcha powder as possible. There is so much in this one that there always a bunch collected at the bottom of the bag, lol. It is SO GOOD. So smooth, grassy, umami. Really delicious, and so much more affordable than other options.

Now this is what I call real green tea!For many years, most other brands of green tea always looked more yellow or amber colored, not green.But this Jade Leaf organic Matcha green tea is a beautiful Jade green color and the taste is divine, delicious and not at all bitter.I finally found my holy grail green tea that is actually green.I will from now on only buy this one.Love it!

Reminds me of the toasted rice tea I enjoyed in Japan when I visited some years ago! I usually do 3 tea bags for a 12oz mug because I like mine stronger with that deeper matcha flavor.

I really enjoy this matcha green tea every afternoon, the flavor isn’t overpowering. I like the source of where it’s harvested and that it’s organic. I can get two cups from one tea bag .

This tea is comfort in a cup. I drink at least one cup of this everyday. All the benefits and fresh taste of green tea and matcha blended with the earthy nuttiness of the toasted brown rice. When steeping this, it smells sooo good! I had no idea I would love this as much as I do when I first tried it. The value can’t be beat, either. This tastes better and is much more reasonably-priced than the blends found in the grocery store.

TL,DR. Flavor is fine, smell can take some getting used to ... take note of the expiration/BBD date especially if you get more than one bag.The green tea and toasted rice flavor is fine. The toasted rice smell can be well let's just say an acquired smell... you may or may not get used to it. With normal hot water brewing, the toasted smell makes sense with the heat but it's a little strange when you cold brew and it still has the toasted smell. Make sure you stick it in the fridge if you are cold brewing over 10 mins and especially overnight since it has rice. I wanted to try actual green tea not the brown oxidized stuff you see grocery stores. I cold brew a packet 2 to 3 times which helps me drink a lot more water than I normally would. I deduct a star for the smell and another one for sending me all 4 bags on 7/24 with 2 months of expiration 9/24. I see why this was on sale and a lot cheaper than the traditional flavor. It seems the toasted rice is not too popular and they are trying to get rid of their stockpile of close to or already expired.
