An excellent mystery
Former DI Hillary Greene is a fascinating specimen of a former police professional. She is intuitive, genuinely smart, surprisingly caring considering the harsh things life had brought her way, and unerringly loyal to her team. She appreciates others who serve whether as police, military, or otherwise. In this reader’s opinion, The author has created a character for the ages. The plot is excellent and the supporting cast as good or evil as the plot required. Everything fits into a neat package that makes for a fun read.

Great twists
Loved this book. It kept me engaged. I did figure out the killer...I want to know what happened to Hillary's boyfriend?? How did he die and why write him out?

Hilary wins again
As always, talking a journey with Hilary as she solves cases is interesting as she puts theories and facts together. It seemed easy this time to figure out the killer, though I doubted my guess halfway through, but was right in the end. The reasons for the killings of the shady characters comes to light at the end. Ms. Martin’s description of some of the characters is delightful, especially Mia. I hope there are more books in this series coming because it’ll be interesting to see how Gareth turns out.

Very good, but not the best in the series
Another enjoyable Hillary Greene mystery. The story alternates between the present day and several months earlier. It made sense but was a bit distracting.I like Claire and Gareth, who work with Hillary on cold cases. There is a situation involving Gareth that is tough to get through.Faith Martin is a very talented writer, but I don’t understand why she got rid of Steven Crayle. He is mentioned in this book; he should still be an active character. This is the 19th book in the series. I’ve liked them all. It’s best to read them in order, or at least start with book 12, Murder Never Retires, which is when Hillary first works on a cold case.

Just like old times for Hillary
This book is Hillary back to her old self and Faith Martin back to writing interesting murder mysteries. Hillary is in fine form, thinking outside the box, relying on her excellent instincts, and using her strong network of connections and wiliness earned from experience to solve cold cases. She sees her new and promising recruit through a crisis, administering both assistance and tough love. She angers her boss and then redeems herself. She solves the case assigned to her as well as several current open cases. The series seemed to have gone off the rails for me in the last few books, so I’m happy to see that the author and the character have, in this offering, returned in fine form.

The Murder series
As usual, a good story. I enjoy Hillary's process of getting to the truth and like her sense of right and wrong and going with her gut. My problem thought is I'm still mourning th death of Stephen. I feel sadness that she no longer has her man by her side. Yea, maybe she might have never married him, but at least she had someone. Now I feel like she doomed to be alone for the rest of her days and that's just sad.

Excellent Book
This was quite a superb book that had three/four murders to be solved. It must have been. Intricate to write however it made it a really good book to enjoy. I highly recommend this whole series and hope that there will be more to come.

Always gripping
As usual, the author built a story that was interesting and fascinating. Even after having read nearly all the books with Hilary Green it never gets boring to watch her solving the open cases. Hopefully there'll be more.

Utterly riveting
I have now read all of the books from number one up to this one. I found all of them to be, as stated in the heading, utterly riveting. What a coppers nose Hillary Green had. Each book had a way of keeping you wanting to keep reading without putting the book down. I don’t know if there is a number 20, but I hope there is, because I will certainly be purchasing it.
