The quality is excellent; it's well-made with a strong velcro that protects the internal mechanism, ensuring it stays intact despite her rough play.It feels sturdy, and the mechanism is robust, powering the fun tail-wagging action. The fish is powered by a removable rechargeable battery that sits inside. To remove it, you just detach the velcro fish skin and slide it out. Charging is easy with the provided cable and power plug, and it only takes about an hour to get a full charge. Impressively, one charge lasts for ages, so she gets plenty of playtime.The fish is very sensitive, so even the slightest touch sets it off. It's quite amusing when we accidentally knock it while passing by, and it springs to life, prompting our kitten to rush over, ready for another round of fun. Her reaction to the tail wagging is priceless; she can’t resist grabbing it and giving it a good kick. It triggers her zoomies, which are hilarious to watch.The entertainment value this toy provides is fantastic, making it well worth the price. Tripod was not sure about this at all when it started moving. Usually it needed us to set off the mechanism as he wasn’t brutal with it enough (full grown, very large cat).However, after about a week I decided to take. Out the mechanism and fill it with cat nip. Well, he know loves it and it’s his go to toy.So, in its original form I wouldn’t recommend it, but, if your cats love kickeroos and you are fed up with having to rebuy them when the catnip fades, get this.It’s easy to put in their favourite cat nip, swap it out when needed. It’s a perfect size for kicking and works as a pillow as well.Kickeroos tend to be a similar price, so it’s not too bad in the end.Update: this is my cat's favourite toy now. It's his go to comfort toy. He uses it as a pillow, a cuddle mate and a kickeroo. Get rid of the motor and fill it with their favourite catnip.If we put it away when we tidy, he will dig it straight out of his toy box and cuddle it again. He sneaks down in the night to give it a hug and then comes back to bed. It is genuinely the cutest thing.

Arrived in a box with other toys. My kitten helped unpack them and sat in the box whist the fish was charged up. As I write this review, he is playing with it. The fish is quite large, about the size of a good sized trout. Very well made. A Velcro belly slot enables easy removal of the guts. Charged via USB port so no having to buy batteries.Ideal for a cat, or kitten to play with - forget watching the telly - kitten attacking the fish is more entertaining. I bought the Clown fish version as well. Both supplied via Amazon. Very quick delivery, well packed, good delivery driver.

Great fun, cat loves it, little slot for putting in fresh catnip, and it charges quickly. Also, the charge last for many months of being played with. The fabric has stood up well to being 'atracked' with claws and teeth!

My cat is frightened of it so no good for her. Seems well enough made though. Larger than expected
