Mercer is committed to providing convenient, safe and easy transport of your knives and culinary tools. These cases and rolls are manufactured to the meet the needs of the most demanding culinary professionals. All are exceptionally durable, strong, and lightweight. Review: Good, solid bag for your buck. - Mercer Culinary has made a solid product here. First off let me say that I'm always a fan of red and black color schemes - they look evil and classy all at once. Black exterior and red interior provide a great look for a great bag. Behind one well built zipper is roomy, 4-pouch-a-side compartment for larger utencils, be they spoons, slicers, larger chef knives, they'll fit comfortably. Inside the other pocket is a more miscellaneous tool oriented space with 8 pouches on one side (4 on top, 4 on bottom) and a small zipper pouch with a roughly equal size mesh, Velcro sealed pouch. My parking knives, santoku, thermometer, peeler, shears, and several other tools fit well into these smaller pockets, while the other side has room for my scraper, sharpies, notepad and personal scale. Moving to the outside, these two heavier zippers are secured by well made locking straps. There are two reasonably sized zipper pockets on the outside that could hold business cards, recipe cards or similar sized items. Finished off with a tough but nice black finish, and a simple silver Mercer logo, and you've got a good bit of bang for your buck with this purchase. My background: I've been cooking in a variety of restaurants for the past 8 years. I started off with a Wusthof classic creme handled ikon chef knife years back and have been growing my arsenal of culinary tools ever since. When I started culinary school at Saint Paul College this past fall, I had the low end Wusthof bag that most students get in their kit -i had found mine on sale at a local knife shop earlier in the summer. It was a cheap chef roll bag that served its purpose but had some drawbacks -weakly made pockets, limited tool (non knife) space, didn't close well. I've known other cooks and chefs to have had and hated those Wusthof bags, so I upgraded to this bag. Very happy with my purchase. Review: Best carry all bag in the market - I needed a bigger knife bag for work. I only had a 6 pc knife roll. First things first, I own Mercer knives and it's a brand I've trusted for years, other than Victorinox inexpensive and good knives for all day wear and tear. Second I'm a chef so I need at least 10 knives and different tools like microplane, vegetable peeler etc. This bag fits all those tools and more. I would recommend getting knife covers because the inside is thin and if your knives are sharp it'll cut through easily

Nice case, I’ve had a few knife rolls after ...
Nice case. I’ve had a few knife rolls after working in kitchens for 13 or so years, my only problems here is that there are no specific slots for pens/thermometer etc. though there are four smaller zippered pockets, and a lot of the time my smaller knives will come loose in the bag and bounce around. That being said, lots of space for a variety of knives and tools. Decent case for the money.

Not what I expected
It looked awesome, very fancy looking but it broke in a matter of 3 months from the inside and the zipper also broke.

and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed with it
I've had my bag about 6 months now, and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed with it. Knives don't stay in the slots, so when you open the bag they're all over the place. The bag quality isn't very good either. Rather cheaply made. I guess I got what I paid for.

Great Culinary Knife Case at a Good Price
I bought this culinary knife case for my fiance and he loves it! It's bigger than his knife roll and it looks more professional and can fit 17 knives/utensils. It also has pockets in it for his other items like his measuring spoons. It's very sturdy and sleek. Heavy duty zipper doesn't get stuck. It was worth the money.
